Does anybody remember the old Pippin's Place Lodge? My parents used to go there in the late 50's and early 60's for weekends. I remember the large ballroom and the eating area in the basement. You could take a canoe down the river. I believe the owner's name was Dru. Anybody have old photos?

I do know exactly where Pippin's Place is but do not have any photos? Why can't you just drive over there and take some photos now?

I have photos from Pippins place. My parents spent time there before I was born, but i have several photos from that place. Looked like a great place for a very relaxing weekend. If I was there, I was probably too young to remember. From what I gather, there was a spring that was completely covered when a bluff collapsed on top of it. I believe it wasn't long after that Pippins was closed.

I'd be happy to share these photos.

My grandfather built Pippin Place. It was run by my aunt and uncle, Dru L. Pippin and Eva Pippin. I have lots of photos, including the old post cards that documented it. The famous cook they had was John Branham. The farm part was run by Arthur Lankford. The handiman, who many of us remember well, was Louis Speckman. Be happy to provide digitized photos and info to anyone interested.

Hi William, I would enjoy looking at the pictures and looking at any info you might have. My Grandma had an old family history book and the Pippin Place was in there as part of our history. I'm related to Dru Pippin and I guess you too. Anything you have would be great to see. You can send it to [email protected] Thank you!

I would love to have a copy of Pippin Place. I am related to Hill Pippin, Charles A. Pippin, William Carroll Pippin. I was trying to determine who was the father of Hill Pippin, as this is the subject of debate between Abraham and Joseph Pippin, when I came across this part of the Pippin family. My e mail address is [email protected]

I lived in Pippin Place in the 70's it was beautiful, its a shame that it is not standing anymore. My parents have beautiful art work from artists coming by. The ballroom was my favorite, we had the greatest parties in there.

I am married to Dan Pippin who is Dru L. Pippin's great grandson. My 12 year old son is also named Dru, after his grandpa (Dan' dad) and his great Great Grandpa. We had old pics of Pippin Place and many of Dru Pippin, not sure where they are right now though....
