I have been buying on ebay for about 6 months now. How I had forgot about ebay. Wow the Stuff I have gotten so cheap and the thrill of bidding is like gambling to see if I can get what I want. What a high it is bidding back and forth with somebody. Instead of buying a phone charger for 30. I'm getting it on ebay for 5 and new clothes for my whole family. sporting goods, I'm looking to get a boat right now. my wife's Easter Gifts Just ordered. I'm a good husband. Looking for my kids some easter stuff now. No store Lines and Fighting a crowd. Why pay full price with money so tight. Wanted to Let ya know. something positive on here for a change. Help one another that's what we all should do. But warning its addicting but the money I would have spent without ebay. I have saved so many Dollars. Thanks for listing.

Almost sounds like a "commercial" for ebay! If you want to buy from dealers, that is ebay. If you are looking to buy from individuals, not so likely. Many Many sellers left ebay several yrs back. Ebay got greedy with their fees,(they also own paypal) Fees' and more fees on top of fees.

Sellers are not protected. IF you sell an item, IF you send it return receipt,(and you have proof of delivery) ALL that buyer has to do is say.."NO, but I didn't get it..." AND they are refunded right out of your paypal account, or off your credit card and you are SCREWED!! You have No $ You no longer have your item, and IF you dispute it, YOU can take THEM to court, WHERE THEY LIVE!! Who can do that? I used to sell a lot on ebay... never had but one bad experience with one idiot in florida.. Ebay set themselves up as judge, jury, Illegally. I know quite a few others who have sold on ebay and everyone of them quite because of this same thing.

Some now sell on OLA.com (another online auction site) but it's never taken off as well.

I used to sell on ebay until ebay got so damn greedy. Some sellers are ok, but remember these are mostly just people, and they want a buck and don't care if you get anything for it or not. I've gotten some good deals on ebay, but for the most part people expect a LOT of $ to mail you something. Expect an extra $10 or so added to the actual cost to mail because "they had to buy tape and an ink pen to label it"...LOL Can you spell S C R E W ??
Paypal is owned by Ebay so expect to bend over and take it one more time here if you sell anything... they want a big ol cut too...oh and when the sale is done, expect an extra percentage added on again..... Can you spell R I P OFF??
it's not what it used to me.
If you buy something and pay, and never get it... expect to take a loss. You have no real recourse. Even if it's 200 bucks you're out... hell the seller was off in another state.... you going to pay to go there file a small claims court case? travel back and forth hundreds of miles? stay in hotels? no.. it'd cost more than you already got screwed out of... BEWARE... it can be good, but it can and is bad too

I use ebay to sell and buy. If you do not get an item you order, Ebay will take money from seller and give buyer money back. If seller doesnt have a tracking number to prove it was delivered. You can now print your shipping labels directing off ebay and pay for it out of paypal account and always get a free tracking number. There are no fees for buying and they just changed all the fees for sellers which are cheaper. So get the right information before you post. I have never been out on a purchase a DIME. Ebay has a buyers protection policy and seller protection policy. You should read them. I have been on ebay for two yearsso I can not speak to the past but they do protect you. I am glad u are not using ebay because the people I have dealt with have been amazing and I have over 1000 transaction I have done.
I have talked to them on the phone with questions and have always been answered quickly. Call them if you cant read and ask them about their policys before you put out false information.

oh yea... and even if you sell, and you have a tracking number and PROOF they got the merchandise, ALL they have to do is LIE and say they did not get it...and You have the funds taken back out of your account and play hell ever getting it back ...THEN they have your merchandise and your money..Had it happen, have proof... Sent ebay proof and they ignored it. said they would settle it and they never did. The ebay fees have gotten rather high, and if one can sell locally like on craigslist, WHY NOT? Ebay was a wonderful thing until they got greedy...

what happened is that they got so damn expensive that people quit. People don't write hand written letters, cause nobody has time. Women used to wear dresses/cook and raise babies too... things change

Wow
I love saving money on Craigslist and ebay.
I buy alot of cheap Good stuff on ebay. I do enjoy my mailbox and getting packages so I help post office.

Phone charger,Books, Camo Outfits.
Shirts, pants, shoes. vinyl, games and dvds. I buy collectibles, party supplies and Replacement parts for whatever I need rather than buying new. I don't pay full price unless I have too.
Just to name a few

I tried ebay... They are right... There are good deals.. and that good deal is if you are a buyer! IF you are a buyer you can collect the merchandise, demand and get a refund, and KEEP the merchandise! Seller has no protection what so ever... and they charge quite a bit Craigslist can be dangerous too..NEVER have anyone come to your home

Yes seller do now. Ebay has change alot. I sold something the buyer said they didn't get it. I had tracking number and Ebay actually gave buyer money back. They didn't take money from me, they paid it because they said she was a good buyer and I as a seller had a tracking number so.
I LOVE EBAY. BUYING AND SELLING

I have spent thousands on ebay.

I always was a fan. Haven't bought much lately, though.

Can't go wrong as long as you use a payment method with fraud protection.
