What the hell? Why does the Hopewell Court system give custody of a "fiance's child"?? to someone who leaves the court and immediately goes on line begging for clothing? IF they can't afford to get some cloths for this child, how the hell can they feed it, but it toys, etc? They didn't ask to buy clothing, it appears they want others to cloth this baby.. WRONG.. There are thrift shops, Once Upon a Child, etc... Nothing wrong with buying some second hand clothing as you can get some nice things, good deals...BUT OMG they just walked out of court...Obviously asked for this child...DID Social Services not do a home study to see if they can afford it???

I now cut and paste what was posted on the Hopewell Yard Sale site on FB just today:'

I hope so,,, no other information was listed at that site where the woman ask for clothing... In fact what was said leads you to assume that the child was given to someone not related... Courts just don't "give" children to people... those people always "ask" for custody.. Normally social services would do a home study and back ground... evidently finding the woman suitable... When the woman custody goes on yard sale sited immediately asking for clothing... saying she has no money.... makes one wonder if money is so scare why the child ended up there... Many people buy good used second hand clothing... Heck I did and now do for grandchildren..I didn't mean to imply there is anything wrong with it...goodness knows there is not... my point is it makes the justice system look incompetent

It's "her" child? She never claimed it was her child, the first post she made said it was "her fiance's child"... which really sounded "odd".. the orig post was evidently deleted fairly quickly and just said she got custody... but it still didn't sound like it was her child... Well at least that does make more sense now. Sounds like the father might actually be the better parent...

If you have all this information have you notified anyone? Simply posting about her on here will not help anything. If you are posting the truth it should be brought to the attention of Social Services or the court system. If it is not accurate information then it makes me wonder what your connection to the issue might be.

Lulu, not questioning about if she is looking for baby clothes. Just asking what is your connection to the case and have you done the right thing by notifying child protective services?

Actually, billy bob, it is child protective services who has the most pull on who actually gets a child to begin with...Judges almost always side with who they recommend get the child. I don't know the woman, so have no reason to think that she may not take proper care of the child..Also because of this, I understand that now the childs father is aware of this and is going to get what this little one needs. So no, I did not get in touch with protective services, because she asks for clothing. My issue was more with a judge not knowing someone has no funds to buy clothing for a child., He was in the perfect position to know what could be afforded.
