hey sis,you are making us all sick. Stop it already with all this brotherhood of firemen and "true" brother crap. Yes it is sad the man lost his life. He died because he negligently drove into the back of a tractor trailer, not because he was pulling someone from a fire. His death is no more tragic because he was a firefighter, so stop with all the hero crap. If he was a data reconfigurist (sic) like Chandler Bing, you probably wouldn't have even read this story. Yet, because you are a sister of a firefighter, you try to turn this into a 9/11 scenario. Clam it already.
Appropriately, my condolences to the family.

btw Delightful girl, that was a great post.

Tony Falzarano was my recent ex husband. I love him very much!! We remained very close and I miss him so much. People out there who knew him know what a amazing, giving, loving man he was. He was my hero and there was nothing he wouldn't do for his friends and family. He will missed by many and never forgotten. I love you always and forever my love.
Love,
Bernadette
I hope those with hateful comments towards Tony get what they deserve.

Sorry for your loss. It just goes to show that even through divorce, you can still love someone and will never get over them.
May your fond memories carry you through the rough days ahead.

This is a truley tragic time for all of us in the brother/sisterhood...no we do not think we are any better than the rest because we are firefighters...but we do have a closeness and bond that we believe is different than others, we deal with many different situations that a lot of people do not and for that we feel we are different. not better, but it brings a closeness to our relationships, are we heroes, no. did tony die saving the life of another, maybe, maybe not, but the comments that have been here are so disrespectful it's ridiculous. no matter how it happened, things happen for a reason, do not try to take our grieving for a brother who did so much for others and was always willing to do what he could to allow us to be with our families in special times. It's because if Tony that I was able to spend this Christmas with my family and my children. I will always be grateful for that. What people say on this board means nothing because they obviously do not know who tony really was. we will not let you ruin what we have left. i only hope, when it's your time, you have someone like tony looking out for you and willing to go the extra mile.

Tony, you will be missed, this is a tragic event.

What a touching tribute to your friend and fellow firefighter. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone had a :Tony" in their lives. Perhaps all the hatred we have seen on this board would be non-existant ... or at the very least ... much less. May God bless you, Tony's friends and family in this difficult time. And may the wonderful memories that you have and will share in the coming days bring you all back to full joy!

Sometimes we meet people in life that we just can't forget. I've only hung out with Tony a couple of times but I can tell you that it hurt like hell to hear the bad news! He was true Gentleman and good people to be around with. May you RIP Brother. Please watch over us and keep us safe.

To those of you that think this is a message board and you can post your personal issues here, you're wrong! Please be respectful to Tony's friends and family no matter what your past was with him. And if you still find it necessary to post hatful things than I'm sure we can make arrangements to meet and discuss your issues in person.

To Bernadette: I'm truly sorry for your loss. I know you're dealing with so much pain right now. May God bless you and your family.

I also wanted to share that the day of Tony's funeral, one of Delray's elderly residents came by station 42 and was very distraught. He said he had to see for himeslf that Tony's tragic death was true. He shared with the crew that Tony had ran several calls on him and would also routinely check on him and make sure he was doing ok. He said Tony had gone above and beyond what our job entales and he was eternally grateful for how Tony had touched his life.
Just another example of Tony's selfless heart...

I've known the family well for years. As sad as it is they didn't care one bit about him. His mother a complete liar married and divoiced 5 times and lies to her husband about it. Gave up a son with a note in a lunchbox. When he found Tony he found him needy instead of embracing him. He longed to know his father and dear mom wouldn't tell him who he was. When he asked aothers and we ask why he said the might have some big inheritence waiting for him. Selfish yes a liar yes a user big time. One learns those behaviors at home from mommy. Look out for the tears they mean nothing as fake as she is. Between the drugs that he sold really what kind of man was he? He beat his girlfriends made them do things that were odd and unforgivable ask Rena she has stories to tell. Bernette was used he didn't care not one bit. Tony was about tony bottom line like the rest of the family users and abusers. Yes what happened is sad and may he rest in peace. Don't kid yourselves he was a piece of work and not of the classy type. Sincerely, someone from his past
