Dude, read this! Fins still retooling. They simply could not take a risk of him playing against us. This is a no risk, no brainer decision. If your assertion about an injury at game four is correct then the young guys get plenty of work. If the young guys are good enough they will play, regardless. Jason will only help to teach these youngins' how to get it done. Oh, by the way, Daniel Snyder flew down to attempt to woe him back. I think that speaks volumes about his value as a player.

It didn't work out in Wash b/c Daniel Snyder is an idiot. Jason is back home where he belongs and the Fins should be thanking their lucky stars for this deal. The guy is 3 years removed from Defensive player of the year and 2 years removed from yet another marvelous season, even at 1-15.

This will only put more butts in the seats too.

If he doesn't play a second, Dolphins are getting their money's worth. He's a fan favorite and folks will buy tickets just for the chance to see him play.

Dolphin fans make me laugh.Everybody is happy that a player at the end of his career and hurt all last season is coming back. Some people think the Dolphins are going to the Super Bowl because JT is back.No wonder with the fans mentality this team hasn't won a SB in almost 40 years.Grow up Dolphin fans don't be so ignorant.

This was a "no-brainer" for the Dolphins. Taylors heart or work ethic has never been in question. This story just shows what kind of class act he really is. When he was with Washington he battled injuries and could not get comfortable with playing out of position. He still has gas in the tank. He can still contribute.
As far as Bills decision, you just signed a fan favorite and possible one of the top five players to ever put on a Miami Dolphins Jersey for 1.5 million (a steal for a 6 time probowler and former Defensive Player of the year). There are a number of fans at this very minute knocking the dust off their #99 jerseys and will buy tickets this season to see Jason play. 1.5 million and they get a player that will boost ticket sales and contribute to a team with tons of potential. Giving he wont be the defensive jugernaut of the past but he will still contribute greatly to this defense as a leader and a player.

I don't see this as going against the blueprint at all. Jason will need to compete for a position. The only guarantee he has is the signing bonus. He will probably be a specialist, reserved for certain situations. The players we have will continue to grow and more importantly learn from one of the best. If what you have reported is true, it seems that Taylor wants to play football, wants to play for the Dolphins, and will do whatever it takes, even if that means taking on a secondary role to some of the younger starters.

I didnt read many people say because Jason is back the phins are going to the superbowl? I read that people are happy to see him back in a Dolphins jersey. They are happy to have the chance to watch Jason finish a phenomial career exactly where he should be, at home at Dolphin (Dolphins, Joe Robbie, Pro Player, Landshark) stadium. Most Dolphin fans are optimistic about the season but understand that they are trying to finish rebuilding this team and have one of the hardest schedules this season.
