You think Tim Tebow is going to be watching how Pat white does this season?

this draft seems like a total bust. I think after last year BP has been drinking his own cool aid.

This is a great move by Parcells but let's not call it a revolution just yet. White needs to work on mechanics before he will be able to instill fear in defensive coordinators!
The only move left is to bring Taylor back because he's obviously hungry to show the doubters he's still got it. GO PHINS!

Very much so. It's going to be his only shot at playing quarterback in the league. If he goes to a new "spread offense" team, it will be a wonderful opportunity for Tebow

I saw an article saying that while Parcells was still with E.S.P.N. he asked for tape of Arkansas games. He said he was going to do a piece on the wildcat. He got the tapes, watched them. He never mentioned it again. Then he's hired by Miami and voilla. I know Lee is credited with the idea. I wonder if it is part of why he was hired. No matter. They installed it and watched to see what teams were doing to thwart it. Now I understand the 2nd. pick in the draft. I also see the receiver picks. The man is brilliant. If nothing else, it will be exciting.

Bust! Are you serious? A bust is when you draft Yatil Green and he makes no contributation to this team at all. Or drafting J.J. Johnson or Jamar Fletcher. I like Vernon Carey but I would prefer to have Bob Sanders or Vince Wilfork in the 2004 draft.

Sometimes it frustrating to be a dolphins fan when you just don't agree w/ some directions that are being taken. The wild cat was used as a diversion because of a lack of talent. Just as we move into another draft/free ageny perion, we keep this wild cat thing going!!! If the dolphins wouldn't have picked Pat White in the 2nd round, who would have? NOBODY!!! We could have gotten a spread offense type even after the draft! The Giants got some WR 2 picks before we did in the 3rd round, wonder if we had our eye on that kid? Nevertheless, it was a nice DB draft.

I suspect that if the Fins Wildcat is successful next year, AND other teams adopt a version of it, that it will stop being referred to as a "gimmick".

I recall the West Coast offense being called gimmicky when Walsh implemented it in SF.

This what I posted Saturday,Sunday, and Monday. Pats for sure were going to grab Pat White and try to up one our Wildcat and run the spread offense.Bellicheat shot himself in the foot picking Ron Brace at pick #40 only to selfishly block the Fins from getting their nose tackle. Jeff Ireland and the Trifecta trumped the Pats and grabbed Pat White early.Brilliant move by the Trifecta. Bellicheat had smoke coming out of his ears, right above the lag bolts.

Nice to see Omar get the article in print to explain the pick to the fans. Folks will soon ask why was Pat White not picked at #1

Allen,

You are right about it being fustrating being a Dolphin fan sometimes, but when they get it right, it feel so good!

I think that the Phins had every intention to draft Pat White later, but with the Pats moving up to grab Ron Brace, and the fact that they also wanted Pat White, caused the Phins to pull the trigger early. I do not believe that they wanted to take a chance on being out maneuvered by Billacheat. Just know that Pat White is a very versitile player, and those of you that haven't seen him play will be pleasantly surprised.

wow, really!? People don't seem to understand the endless possibilities this formation brings. Ravens were able to stop it last year by run blitzing which kept ronnie from bootlegging, elimnating the possibilty of him throwing the ball. You put the right athletes (PAT WHITE!) in the game and this becomes a force to be reckoned with.

I will never, every question The Big Tuna again. I questioned some of his moves last year before the season I and got schooled by the master.

No one is a better football mind than Bill Parcels. In Tuna I trust!!!
