Mcmichael was descent not good, I hated that he had a lisp and caught the ball with his body, he was good rookie and 2nd year after that descent at best.

All those "Good" players and none of them could win a Super Bowl.

Ronnie has proven he cant handle the starters role. He always gets injured when he's asked to carry the load. He's ok in a 1-2 punch but thats about it.

Ronnie Brown will always carry the label of Average Back as long as we keep drafting Pat Whites' to steal his thunder to run Wildcat options. Not to mention Ricky stealing yards.

Until he is a featured back like Adrian Petterson, the 3 heading running option will hold his stats back making him look mediocre.

Dave - the NFL does not send 'average' backs to the Pro Bowl. Maybe you want to rephrase your criticism a little bit?

He will last a long time in this system, we know the RBs do not last long in this league they get hit 25 to 30 times a game and have to block 300 plus lbs men running right at them, every carry means one less for his career. Alot of teams use a 2 or even 3 back system, the ones that do not run there back into the ground. Petterson will not be in this league more than 5 or 6 yrs if he carries the ball 300 plus times a yr.The players are bigger and faster and dish out more punishment.

Exactly. And being that both Ricky and Ronnie are bruisers, our running game will wear out opposing Ds faster than most, opening up both play-action and a potent passing game.

The game has changed and a "featured back" system, I think, is becoming obsolete while risking injury, costing stamina, and killing drives.

Risking injury, costing stamina, and killing drives = Ronnie Brown as a feature back.

A running back can`t do much with 13 to 16 carries a game. Ronnie hasn`t been properly used since he waltzed into Miami. He`s had no line and very few carries.
whatever

I think Ronnie has already proven he is much more than an "average" back. Imo, he is one of the top 5 backs in the NFL.

Exactly. Ronnie is one of the best in the league. All you have to do is watch him play. However, he will never have Peterson type stats on this team.
And I am still sick over this stupid Pat White pick. He fits in nowhere except in that stupid Wildcat package. They use it maybe a maximum of 10 times a game. Maybe we can trade the guy in a year or two...

What are the amount of carries that Brown has compared to the other "elite" backs and what's his YPC?
