This has been a reoccurring issue on our beaches, perhaps pollution, runoff, or something else illegal is the source of this. Finding out would be a good thing as well as taking steps to reduce or stop this. This would make our beaches safe for Floridians, children, and tourists alike.

the reason is the sewage outfall pipes, they pump 24-7 and with an east wind, all the poo heads for the beach. its always going on. to think the closed the beach between a couple lifeguard stands! what a joke, the entire coastline is affected. I went to the outfall area off Hollywood this past weekend in my boat, there was a 10 -15 acre area around the outflow area that was disgusting, water was milky brown.

the crooked polititions will spend AT LEAST 200 million bucks in fla alone to get elected, but we can't find a few million to treat waste-water so it doesn't kill the fish and us in the ocean. amazing

Wow..bacteria on SFL beaches...nothing new..at least one a month..sad years ago SFL had really beautiul beaches now...fake sand that gets hot and doesn't stay cool, over built condos, bacteria infested water and rip tides make going to SFL beaches so less desirable..

All those illegal Haitians crapping in the ocean in their rafts, before running on shore in the middle of the night, and heading to Publix to apply for jobs handling your food, and making your subs.
