While I am myself a Democrat, I find myself bothered more than a bit by the claims of Isreal the democratic nominee. Two points in particular are his claims to improve saleries and benefits and get more police on the force. With county money so tight there's not enough now to pay what's already costing the county, where does he propose to get the money to pay this?
Second point is his recent claims that everything he does and publicly announces has been a political ploy to be re-elected, Lamberti has been sheriff barely a year, and he has done a lot in that time to fix things, thinks he could only push for while still just a Major in the department. Any sheriff regardless of party would be proud to trumpet their accomplishments in such a short time, this is not politics by Lamberti but Isreal's claims sure are. I can only say, Isreal is one of the few democrats who will NOT get my vote this year.

Sheriff Lamberti has more experience as a Major with BSO then Israel has as a NBV Chief. As a Major with BSO he severed as a Chief for three cities in Broward County over the past 30 years. A Sheriff’s Office can not be run like a small town police department. County commissions are much different then a small town Mayor and City Commission.

Take a look at who is supporting Israel: Fired employees that have an ax to grind with BSO and a few greedy Union members. Not everyone that is an FOPE member supports Israel for Sheriff.

sorry but that is not the best advice. Ask a detention deputy and they will say Israel, why? Because Israel promised them big $$$$ in their contract. I was there, BSO is big and complicated, not a mom and pop business like NBV, I was there when the last FtLPD guy came in ( Cochran ) and he ran the place like a small, city agency. He ruined the place to the point that when Jenne came in he was embraced and was able to do whatever he wanted. No deputies only see out of a small window, they don't get a chance to see the big picture. A sheriff needs to satisfy city government and his employees fairly, Al has proven to me time and time again, he is fair and just. Israel does not have the skills, experience or background to be sheriff. Dania Chief Brian Cowart paid a female deputy who was still being trained overtime to have sex with him. Instead of firing them, the female gets promoted to Sergeant, transfered to Cooper City. Cowart whose brother in a Judge gets demoted to commander, with the same pay.

Pompano Sergeant Cavaleri points an automatic assault rifle at a female deputies head, and states "who should I shoot next". This is WORKPLACE violence with a firearm. The sergeant who is a close friend of Chief of Detectives Larry deFuria in not criminally charged. His punishment is 3 days off. Just think if your boss pointed a gun at you head. Under Florida Statue an Assault with a firearm carries a minimum 3 year sentence.

I work here and the house needs to be cleaned of the corruption, and Ken Jenne people remain in charge.

For those of you who do not know Lamberti, he is a joke.
1. He CANNOT make a simple decision
2. He has violated the Hatch Act on more than one occassion during his campaign
3. He has changed his political party on more than one occassion
4. He keeps blaming Jenne for things that employees are angry about yet he keeps Jenne's henchmen in office.
5. He blames Jenne for everything even though some situations are directly Lamberti's fault
6. His "attack on crime" is nothing new since specialized units have been hitting specific areas for years.
7. He wants to focus on hate crimes, Hey Lamberti, hate crimes have been going on for years you are just using it right now as a campaign topic. Weak, weak, weak. Liar, liar, liar. And finally, Lamberti DOES NOT have experience that he claims. He was there watching Jenne do whatever he did and Lamberti did nothing about it. Lamberti was/is NOT part of any solution but he is part of the problem.

I gave Lamberti a fair try now I want change, if Isreal is the only one than so be it. Lamberti is a dangerous man and is THROWING away tax payers money and committing violations all the time.
