Red light traffic cameras are automatically documenting violations all over South Florida and generating traffic tickets for drivers who run red lights.

Jose all the trafic lights in Broward are of the LED type. They can be seen from afar easily by law abiding citizens. Here in Miami they use a special type that can only be seen when you are very close to them forcing the driver to slow down. The reason? They know Miami drivers are the worst. I think those lights cause accidents because you have to slow down too much and get very close to be able to see it.

I have a few friends here who are honest police and they tell me that Miami-dade is notorious for malfunctioning red lights and than the victims are screwed while you are correct that in Broward it is not like that.

Reason is = Cubans politicos do not run Broward.

Those cameras are in most metropolitan cities and large towns all over the U.S., nothing new.

It's not the city's fault or who ever runs the cameras, it's the idiots that work in the rental auto agency. The camera takes the pictures and the city looks up for the drivers info., once they get a hold of who owns the vehicle, in this situation it was owned by the rental agency, it then delivers the info. of the driver to the city. Bad call on the rental agency, city was just doing their job.
