Good for Green! and let's hope it's good for the Fins too! Go Phins..

SOME INFO ON CULPEPPER

Culpepper is scheduled to earn salaries of $6 million in 2008,$6 million in 2009,$7 million in 2010,$8 million in 2011,$9 million in 2012, and $10 million in 2013.

If Miami chooses to trade him and he doesn't want to be traded, the other team would need to "buy" his contract. Nobody would like to pay him $46,000,000 over 6 years.

In that case, the Dolphins would need to release him, to avoid paying him this year's $6 millions.

If he were willing to take a trade, he could re-structure his contract to be traded to other team, but he surely wants the Dolphins to release him because it is easier to land with a team if they don't have to use picks to sign him.

***BUT THE PROBLEM FOR C-PEP IS that the Dolphins are not forced to pay him anything until the season starts, so if he's trying to play hard against the Fins, they could just keep him until before the season starts and then release him, leaving him with no opportunity to make another roster.

The bad part for Miami would be if he gets injured during that time, because he can't be prevented from practicing and if he injures himself, the injury settlement would cost around $5.5 millions.

Now, THAT'S THE REALITY, what would you do?

It dosen't make sense you have 1 qb comming back from knee surgery and 1 qb one concussion from being out then we have Cleo left and Beck. i would keep both of them on the roster this year in case one of them get hurt just for 1 year then make a decision after that.

THE FINS ARE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE TRADING DUANTE. HE IS BETTER THEN GREEN. IT IS WHAT IT IS.

CULPEPPER CAN BRING THE MIAMI DOLPHINS A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR IF THEY STICK WITH HIM. IF ANYTHING THEY SHOULD TRADE BECK AND RESTRUCTURE GREENS SALARY.

I OFCOURSE WOULD HAVE PICKED BRADY QUINN IN THE DRAFT AND PASSED ON GINN.

Nothing motivates an NFL QB like a wife who want to be part of the South Beach crowd. Keeping my fingers crossed for another 4000 yd season!! Bye Daunte, don't forget to take your sh*t, next stop the new WFL. This time I think it will mean Womens football league. If an NFL team was smart they would make him put in a season in NFL Europa to see if he is really healed. If he can't hack it there no loss!!

Glad we've got Green, but far from excstatic. A lot of things have to pan out right for the "Green will tutor Beck" heir-apparent scenario to work. I hate to see Culpepper go though.$1.3M for Lemon is an awful lot to spend on someone who doesn't seem to have the potential to be a starter, yet Culpepper could easily go right back to his former self at best, and be better than Lemon as a backup at worst. Why not wait one more year and see? We've already wasted a year - what's one more? If the Green-Beck thing works, draft another second tier QB next year and THEN let Culpepper go. OK - going back to my BLOG perch now.

Jacksonville has QB controversy and Atlanta has MAJOR qb controversy. I dont think trading him will be as hard as people think. And the fact of the matter is that he IS getting better.

I like the idea of cutting ties with any problematic aspect of the Saban era.

Welcome to Miami, Trent, but be prepared to work. Our o-line is far from the KC o-line youre used to.

Greatest mistake ever? Hmmm - not sure about that. Drafts - we had some of the worst drafts imaginable in the late '80's, up to and including Sammie Smith. FA's - anyone remember early in free agency we had a team with 19 former first round draft picks on our team? Remember how bad we sucked? I think we picked what doctor's told us was medically the better of the two QB's available a year ago, and they were wrong. If Brees' shoulder blows up like an Iraqi IED this year, maybe they won't look as stupid as they do now. I have to argue though - we've done some horribly stupid things personnel-wise, and this just doesn't come close to some of the top choices. We've even had Florence Billups on our team! How soon we forget.

Push hard for a trade with a team that could use another QB such as Atlanta, Oakland, Chicago, New England. Maybe we can get the same compensation we lost for Green. If he wont restructure then drop his ass.
Green to Ginn sounds gorgeous, WAY TOO GO MIAMI!!

A coach is suppose field the team that gives you the best chance of winning. Culpepper is a very good QB when healthy. Now with Green and cpep it would appear as a coach you let them compete and play the one that gives you the best chance of winning, dump the other unless you can pay Green far less than he making now. The reality is cpep may never be the same again. The fans deserve to have the QB that gives the beloved Dolphins the best to chance to WIN!!! Competition should decide this.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Aquarius

You're full of energy and determination right now, especially when it comes to nailing an ambition or making a name for yourself. You'll want to give it your best shot, and you'll get very annoyed if you feel your efforts are being frustrated by others. Watch out for a rather tense atmosphere with someone older or more influential than you, as this could lead to a row.
