This just goes to show that Israel is an egomaniac and sore loser. Thank god the voters in Broward county had the good sense to see what type of person he really is and not elect him as the most powerful law enforcement officer in the county.

Scott Israel lied about the reason he changed parties; everyone knew it was strictly to use politics to advance his own career. He also tried to mislead people when he claimed to have more credentials for the job than Sheriff Lamberti. Being the chief of a 24 person department is hardly comparable to Sheriff Lamberti's record of being a police chief for Hollywood Police Dept., Deerfield Beach, and North Lauderdale, and being the Sheriff for the 6300 employees at the BSO. Israel also lied about BSO currently having troubles. Thanks to Sheriff Lamberti, the troubles that the Ken Jenne regime brought to BSO, including dishonesty, partisan politics, and rulership by threat, fear and intimidation, have been removed and replaced with pride in service with integrity and treating all people with respect and fairness. The truth is BSO now has an ethical and strong leader who will ensure that the safety and security of the community and our employees is paramount at all times. Yes, the truth is BSO now has a bright future which would not have been possible under Israel or another democratic politician.

Scott Isreal is a snake............he now shows his true colors, its the last thing the Sheriff's Office needed, how does he feel now, thats what he gets for trying to strong arm his way into office, I especially love it for all the guys he told he would get rid of when he became sheriff.............Hey I hear Ray Hicks is looking for a guy in his organization,

I did not vote for Isreal he seemed like a angry bitter person . Seems i was correct in my thoughts, because not to call or say congrads to Lambertti is just sore loser, and very rude.

Very mean spirted that Isreal is, This is a man who thinks the world owes him something.

Mr. Israel is now showing his true persona. Although I no longer reside in Broward County, I like to keep tabs on the issues and follow the news. Your are all lucky to have dodged that bullet [Israel] and made a fine choice with Sheriff Al Lamberti. A nice quote for you Mr. Israel: "We must learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools." (Martin Luther King Jr).

I voted for Lamberti, not because he is "better" than Israel, but because there was no credible reason to vote for Israel.

After the scandal with Jenne, the last thing that the voters needed was to elect someone who may have questionable character references.

I am very concerned about the existing problems like disciplinary problems, and issues of professional misconduct within BSO. I am very hopeful that they can be corrected by Lamberti. If not he will have to go in the next election cycle.

Lamberti is by far the best Sheriff BSO has had in years. He is honest, caring and easy to talk to. He never let his badge go to his head like so many other cops.

My mother-in-law is a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat who would vote for a serial killer as long as he was a Democrat. And I must say her attitude toward all Republican candidates is the exactly the same as Israel's. This is what Democrats are and this illustrates the way they think.

If, and it was a big if, Scott got elected there would have been a blood bath at BSO, his comments in this article show his true metal, a leader needs to be confident, humble and gracious, three words that are never used in describing Israel or Judy Stern, hey great job Judy, can't even get a democrat elected in this county!!! Hey, maybe you can start on Jenne's campaign for ethics committee chairperson!!! He definitely has experience!

Gawd. Judy Stern is SUCH SLIME. Israel should just have conceded the moment he hired her. All she knows how to do is throw mud and spend all of your money. Just ask Jim Scott who also should never have lost his race.

When will politicians learn? I guess, never!

Broward county voters are rarely passionate about local races...If they'd shown just a little bit of interest in this contest, Lamberti may not have retained his office.

Scott Israel is a low life. He surrounded himself with lowlifes on his "team" - a bunch of loser former cops who were fired, let go, or otherwise unemployable in law enforcement. Meeting them was like shaking hands with them made you feel slimy. Israel slink off into the sunset and head back to the bronx where he belongs. Thankfully the voters did the right thing and elected Lamberti, a man with true integrity.

Scott is a jerk and so is Judy. They both make me sick. Their behavior is EXACTLY why they lost, and lost BIG.

Lamberti has been around too long and has plenty of his own slime on him. Lamberti worked under Jenne and the public never heard him speak out. Was he under cover ratting out Jenne? He's no hero. That said, he won, let him go to work and lets see in four years whats up.
