Going to the beach in a bathing suite and taking your pants off and showing your exposed crotch up close are 100% different and you know it. I see tons of woman. I see lots of woman I think are attractive, I've never seen any of them with their pants off showing me their inner thighs, and exposed vagina. I've seen my wife that way. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man finding that "pelvic exam" exposure performed by a man as a violation of an intimate boundary that he and his wife share. I don't know who you are calling an idiot (be judged by your own words) but it sure sounds like in your eyes any man with a wife who doesn't approve of a nude exam performed by a man on his wife is an idiot. So, in your eyes a couple having relationship/privacy/intimacy boundaries that would only have lady doctors doing nude exams on a woman's private parts is idiocy.
VERY well said John!

Of course they're always busy Mandy! It seems that nearly every condition requires a thorough vaginal or breast examination when it comes to male doctors!

Soon opticians will be insisting that blurred vision could be linked to the cervix!

You really don't read anything do you? I said all doctor's have a long wait to get into including female doctor's. I see a Nurse Practioner for my GP & it takes me at least a week to see her! None of my GP's have ever tried to do a vaginal exam for anything & I have seen men & women GP's. Stop making every male doctor out to be pervert when not all are. If I went to any gender of doctor for a sinus infection & they tried to examine my breasts then I would turn them in as that has no bearing on what is wrong with me. Its common sense which you seem to lack.

Prob is, many women don't have 'common sense' Mandy, and the docs get to know which ones they can 'try it on' with!

They make a game of it in fact. They can ask a few probing questions to check your personality. You would even know that you've ben 'probed', but they will have you character assessed to the point of whether they could get away with recommending a pelvic examination or not!

Doctors are intelligent people who get to see all type of people/personalities.

Have you heard of the 'dumb blonde'?

Attractive enough to be worth a nude show, but stupid enough not to know when she's been had!

Even though busy, docs get bored and complacent and do 'things' to make their days more interesting. Why do you think the nurse 'chaperone' was introduced?

Why do you keep bringing up that you didn't like the 'ONE' lady doc you went to? You bring it up as if that was your reason for scratching off all female doctors from your list as if you didn't like one doctor so that means all women doctors are "extremely rude" You say " I refuse to judge all by the actions of some."
But then you keep saying that this one lady was rude as if you obstain from lady doctors because you didn't like one. There are thousands of lady docs, so you really need to keep mentioning the one you didn't like as if that has anything to do with "female doctors" as an entire demongraphic.
She already said she feels "weird" when a woman gives her a pelvic exam, but not a man. Sounds to me as though Mandy views this exam as sexual.

John I never said I didn't or wouldn't go to a female doctor. One delivered my baby & she was nice. Liked her a lot as I did all the nurses. Read all of my post instead of just some of it. I know not all are like that, but I do know that women in general,(& that is what all of you keep doing is generalizing,)care very catty. Seen this with women my whole life. I have no idea what is going through their heads. Could be thinking that I am a big baby from the pain, jealous cause I am thinner than they are, or anything. The same as I don't know what my male doctor is thinking. I have said repeatedly if you bothered to read everything that I just won't go back to that particular female. Just like if a man was out of line with me, I would report him & go to someone else. To Mark: Ruby wasn't just talking about male gyno's if you would bother to read either. All doctor's where they are male, female, gyno's or GP's, takes forever to get an appointment as they are busy.
Yes, read all your post, like being given a pelvic exam by a woman would make you feel "weird."

And we all know why you Male Gynecologists are so 'overstretched' don't we...
To give you an insight into how very rare cervical cancer is, here is some research I did at the National Cancer Institute website.
It's not in link form, just data, because I had to go back and forth from page to page for the correct numbers for each cancer:
Lung Cancer: Deaths: 160,340 (37.9 times greater than C.C.)
Colon and Rectal Cancer: Deaths: 51,690 (colon and rectal combined)(12.2 times greater than C.C.)
Pancreatic Cancer: Deaths: 37,390 (8.8 times greater than C.C.)
Prostate Cancer: Deaths: 28,170 (6.6 times greater than C.C.)
Leukemia: Deaths: 23,540 (5.5 times greater than C.C.)
Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma: Deaths: 18,940 (4.4 times greater than C.C.)
Bladder Cancer: Deaths: 14,880 (3.5 times greater than C.C.)
Kidney Cancer: Deaths: 13,570 (3.2 times greater than C.C.)
Melanoma Cancer: Deaths: 9,180 (2.1 times greater than C.C.)
Cervical Cancer: Deaths: 4,220
Thyroid Cancer: Deaths: 1,780
Note that cervical cancer is ONLY more prevalent than thyroid cancer.
So... now explain to us all why it is that Male Doctors are obsessed with checking women's genitalia?(well, we all know the real answer).
If you want to post health statistics, of course you're always free to do so.

However, I do object to you hitting your reply button and posting them to me when they have nothing to do with what my post said.

Your friends on here who share your views against male gynos damage their viewpoints, as do you, for siding with them, when they falsely accuse me, a female, of being a male gynocologist. It is one thing to hold the views that you have, but quite another to openly lie on here about me. How can you expect to be taken seriously when you are this devious? My occupation is totally unrelated to the medical field.

<quoted text>It is just too much to expect that when it comes to taking your clothes off for intimate exams that they be done by the same sex. I should just accept that probably at least once a year my wife will be examined in the nude by another man and that all husbands should just accept that.
If the clothing wasn't removed, the exam could not be done, so that isn't the point.
If you have such strong objections, and if your wife shares those concerns, then obviously, your choice is simple - she will be seeing a female gynocologist.
What is strange is that you feel the need to post endlessly about it, trying to persuade and convert others to your point of view, as though you have an agenda. Do you not feel these are individual decisions best made by each patient?
I have a friend that will not see a foreign doctor. She has no desire to get me to feel the same.
I personally do not want to see a doctor who dictates to me about my health without listening to me. I want a doctor I can talk to and discuss ALL my options. If he wants me on a certain medication, for example, I want to decide for myself before I take it. Other people will simply take whatever the doctor prescribes without question. I have no burning desire to convert those people to my way of thinking.

You're just a 'hussy' that get a thrill from being touched up by male doctors (presumung you're not a male gyno defending his actions, which I believe you are).

Mark as I have said amny times, my husband likes my doctor. So there is no issue for us. To E.H., you said it best: You don't know what a doctor is thinking so stop making generalizations for all of them. Do you knany any female gyno's? If so what do they have to say about looking at vagina's all day? I believe you just make stuff up as you go along. One time you are saying your wife was assaulted by one & now your friends' with them? Also if youa re some musician, why are you hanging out with doctor's? Nothing you say makes any sense.
And Mandy... you're a woman hating woman, a dominant woman over her husband (bet he knows his place lol!) You do whatever you do and convince the people around you that it ok (forcefully).

Mark was CLEARLY trying to tell you that male doctors are SO busy due to the fact that they spend too much time doing unnecessary pelvic examinations for pleasure!

And... the underage ones offered EVEN MORE!!! They go for the contreceptive pill and the male doc says "no" not until you've allowed me to do a pelvic and breast exam. Fcukin perverts!

I'm not protecting them. I just refuse to judge all of them the same. If I judged all men by you, I would think that all men think women are stupid & should obey whatever their husbands say. You are far from an enlightened man & it has nothing to do with your stance on this subject. You use words like allow, like women should get permission before they do something. I agree that a woman should discuss stuff like this with her husband & if it makes him uncofortable, then find a female unless that makes her uncomfortable. Husbands & wives should always talk things out & find what works for them.

"I feel for you. Some years ago my girlfriend had to have a rape exam. Luckily she wasn't raped but she had to be checked just to make sure. However, it was a male doctor who examined her. She was 16 at the time. He got to inspect every single area of her body, and finally a vaginal exam.

I find it very scary and thought-provoking when people say things like, "What's the problem? He's only doing his job." Well, let me think for a moment: another man is getting to stretch open my girlfriends vagina with his face just a few inches away from her crotch, then he gets to open her up and shine a bright light inside of her. And yet if I refuse to support this procedure, I am labelled inmature and possessive.

Even though my girlfriend wasn't raped, it felt like she had been legally violated. It kept coming back to haunt me. I just felt so emotionally hurt that such a degrading thing had been done to my girlfriend and that it was completely legal. But what makes it worse is the fact that people who support these exams are very intolerant towards those who speak against them. They don't even try to understand your point of view. They just label you insecure and possessive.

These doctors must be laughing their socks off. They get paid hundreds of thousands just to examine women all day, and they don't care whether or not they come between a husband and wife. This is pure evil. We really do need to stick to our guns and speak up."

Ruby, if you're not a male gynecologist posing as an 'innocent' woman paient, then you're probably a nurse chaperone who is paid extra money to keep quiet, or in some cases, the male gynecologist doesn't have to pay out extra money to her because she is infatuated with him so she does that by choice!

I don't hate women, but I am careful who I chose to be friends with as I have been stabbed in the back by too many of them & caught many saying things about me that aren't true. I am not dominant over my husband. He does what he wants the same as I do. We have a very happy marriage probably better than most because we don't try to dictate to each other what the other person can do. I don't care who your wife goes to or what you think. You're just a little man with too much time on his hands.
