Full story: Chico Enterprise-Record

Dozens of Army helicopters were in the sky over Butte County this weekend and early this week as Chico Municipal Airport was used as a half-way point between Lewis-McChord Joint Base in Washington state and Fort Irwin in Southern California.

Constant handouts to those that refuse to speak English, and those who refuse to work is a waste of tax money. Training our military is an investment in the safety and well-being of our Country and foreign interest. Sorry you don't feel that same. You might as well start learning Arabic right now.

"Police state"
The term police state describes a state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive.

I wonder if Mike Ramsey and Grady Davis were taking advantage of free helicopter rides to search for some scenic retirement property, so that they can each build new retirement homes?

They were really here as part of the government's secret "chemtrail" plan to poison U.S. citizens with mind control drugs.

It must be true I read it on the internet.

For those of you who judged my comment (quoted above) clueless and nuts, IT WAS A JOKE! Maybe not a very good joke, but a joke nevertheless.

Actually, Eisenhower did warn us of the very situation our nation is now in. Eisenhower addressed the nation as he left office:

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

“We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”
