There was a specific post in the Killeen section that caught my eye, i'm sure everybody is aware by now of their asskissing relationship with some local news reporters from KXXV and KWTX. In this post the con man slick rick posted about a few emails that Natasha Chen (Former KXXV reporter that now works for a Memphis CBS affiliate.) receieved from Killeen city government in her past job here in the Killeen KXXV newsroom. In simple terms it goes along the lines of Killeen City Governments concerns for media fairness since she was an often regular visitor to the forums during her job for KXXV and Centextalk is crying and boohooing about Killeen City Hall's supposed attempt at censoring them.

Keep this in mind that Larry Cole and Joann Purser (Killeen City Council members) are often seen posting on that website. Along with other unknown posters that might work for city government. This is all just one gigantic game of smoke and mirror illusions of supposed infighting between city hall and the bulletin board.

I'm guessing this is their desperate ploy for attention since there isn't any homeless people to verbally beat on this holiday season.

I wonder if Chen has found her golden cash cow story in Mempiss? Being that she was always showing her one sided media unfairness for her Bulletin Board buddies when she was doing her reporting here in Killeen.

Sadly it still does exist and their two city council buddies are getting worse with their power hunger as well.

Purser wants to make all the citizens in Killeen pay 15 dollars a pop for pet microchipping, and cole wants to dictate where liquor stores can locate to. As if dictating to people how big their business signs should be wasn't already enough.

I never see Cole cry and boohoo over the fact that there's two different mickey's stores that sells alcohol existing right close to 2 schools, but he wants all the hard liquor stores under tight zoning restrictions. Talk about hypocritical conflict of interest.

This bulletin board you speak of is just another sign of C12 and their favored ones losing a grip on Killeen. It's this bulletin board and all the mouthing off about city business that lets Killeen know what's up with city matters. It's been great for the residents because the conversations tell more than you could ever learn from the news. Let's hope they keep it going, keep mouthing off city business and keep all the insider information out there for everyone in the city to see. Corbin hangs out there too and all the blabbing just tells who sides with him.

Maybe they should be talking more about the illegal fliers going out and people stealing election signs.
Stealing signs, really?... How sad is that?

Local politics and other topics.
This is moderated and policed well.

Which is to say the system operator does a good job at taming the fights, and keeping the BS to a minimum.

He allowed a religious forum to outbreak, but quickly severed off the conversation, to keep it a contained in separate forum, and civilized.

Look at the title of this thread. They won't talk about topics like illegal fliers and stolen election signs because it's a spin machine. People posting there favor opinions from folks that want old regime in Killeen to continue as is without any input from the regular citizens. They also complain about the local newspaper a lot. In reality they are biased and unhappy that the local paper won't skew news in their favor. I read on another thread that they delete comments unfavorable to their agenda.

Let's be fair, there is a four page topic about the illegal flyers and a lot of Corbin and Purser bashing on that site.

I won't post there, but anyone who reads there knows that you are lying.

Maybe we should post there to test it. Make screen shots just in case they delete the messages.

Mr. Skew,

It was a fairly lo tech feeble attempt at misdirection, and to gain sympathy points by Mr. Workman and Mr. Okray.

The give away (TELL) was this:

1) The use of a .45 cent manually affixed stamp to the envelope.

2) Who stood to benefit from it.

I have a pretty educated guess who did it, and if I thought it would affect the outcome of this election, I would cause the person some grief.

In all honesty, I think the person put their dick in a wringer, and hurt their cause.

Saturday results will be the tell all !

You can post and test whatever you want Jason. If there is any bashing going on over on that website then one can only wonder why. The site was labeled a spin machine by someone that started this topic in 2010 and if they are still bashing people then not much has changed. Doesn't matter who is being bashed. Why bash anyone at all? It is entirely possible to express views without bashing people.

Corbin doesn't seem to have much support from people that claim to be his supporters. They spend time spouting off on-line when they could be contacting authorities to investigate the illegal fliers. Authorities would want tips from people. It's like Corbin's supporters don't even care to help out when he's busy running a campaign.

What would be the point of contacting the authorities about the flyers?

Assuming the cops gave a damn, which they wont, but for sake of argument, lets assume they do, what will pinning it on Okray or Workman accomplish?

At best its a TEC violation and the TEC may pop them with a minimal fine if we can prove it.

In my opinion, they screwed them self with that little stunt.

Most people are smart enough to assess who benefits from a cheap stunt like that.

If they sent out 30K or more flyers, which at .49 cents or a pop for a stamp, would equate to $15K in mailing cost; it would essentially influence no one, except for KDH readers who read the story.

Everyone I talked with that commented on the KDH story, was shocked to learn the Okray was out on bond pending criminal charges for beating up his wife.

Who the hell wants a wife beater in office?

Anyways, that's my take on the whole deal.

Saturday results will be the tell all !

Jason Lawhorn and his wife troll this forum, huh?

Does anybody think the $10K loan that Corbin took out is finally starting to make sense?
So what

If the forum is open to council members and ex-council members then why would council hopefuls like Lawhorn be considered trolling? If his wife is on the forum then so what? She has a right to her own views and opinions or are married people expected to think alike these days?
