The building for the new University Behavioral Health Center is haunted. This building has been several different types of hospitals and has several ghosts hauting the facility.

i believe also HILLCREST MIDDLE SCHOOL is also haunted. my mother use to work there and she had told me that the school is built on a burial.

Is this the same building that once housed Southwestern General Hospital on Cotton? I remember doing rounds with my dad as a kid and always feeling uneasy about that place. Either way, it makes an interesting location for a Hollywood Horror Flick. Place looks like an asylum and gives me the creeps! |

1 It is said that there used to be train tracks there and children were killed during that time. Today you put baby powder the bumper, leave your car on nuetral at the bottom of the road and the car starts rolling UPhill. Look at the bumper and again and you will see little handprints..... |

It's on Thunderbird opposite of Shadow Mountain. Tried it, really unimpressed. it's supposedly a hoax. Maybe other people had different experiences. Train tracks never were built in that area. |

When I was a kid, there was supposed to be a house that was haunted on Rim Road.

I haven't heard any ghost stories about Hillcrest Middle School, but I did hear ghost stories about the old Hillcrest Junior High which burned downed in the 90's. There were talks about hearing footsteps late in the night or feeling someone tap you on the shoulder. The new Hillcrest Middle school is built on the old football field, which used to be the graveyard of the Jesuit priests, I'm sure there still is a ghost or two of those priests left on the grounds of that school. |

I lived in San Antonio and the same exact story was legend there. This involved some tracks in the southeastern part of the city. I do remember a house on Piedmont street in the Kern area that was supposedly haunted. This was back in the 70's. Alta Vista is another school supposedly built on old burial grounds. |

There's always a lady or child in a white dress story, or the train track story about children from a bus, or the best of La Llorona that happens to be at every border city along the Rio Grande. Cold spots: a breeze from an opening? Or....a "spirit"? Orbs: floating spirits, or maybe, just maybe, lighting from the camera or surroundings? Images around people caught on photo's: mysterious captured images of lost souls, or the picture captured offset? Hmmmm....???

I have a friend in Chaparral who grew up in a haunted house out there. It was built over the remnants of an old adobe building. I used to work for the El Paso sheirffs dept and once experienced something weird on the 10th floor guard station. me and two other officers were sitiing there talking and heard some weird, other worldly gibberish. Imagine a music tape being played backwards and at high speed. It was unexplainable and all three of us heard it. There was nothing present that could have made those sounds. My arm hair still stands up remembering those sounds.

What about the monk who walks with his German Shepard in the midnite hours of Transmountain Rd?(dead, of course) A handful of people swear they have seen him. He either doesn't have a head or a face - something like that. Anyway, people have been known to pee on themselves. This has been going on for 30 or more years I believe.

1 The only thing haunted at Aliviane is the living employees there who treat the patients like s/h/i/t. This place should be closed simply for being a farce. Am I right Mr. CEO Madrid??? He has no shame, ethics, or class.(But he keeps reeling in the federal funds). |

1 Ever since the late 1970s, I've firmly believed that the scariest places in El Paso were the Mayor's Office, the Chamber of Commerce, and the various special interest controlled, so-called "development" entities. |
