Fort Gratiot girl drowns at Ontario beach

A 14-year-old Fort Gratiot girl drowned Wednesday while swimming with a friend in Lake Huron, according to police and friends of the victim's family. via Times Herald

I spend a lot of time on this beach in grand bend and was vacatining and swimming on the beach at the time of Julie's drowning. The waves although fun can be powerful and scary. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this young girl. If it helps at all to know that her last moments on this earth were spent haveing fun with friends on one of the most beautiful beaches Ontario has to offer. i too have had the misfortune to loose a close friend and the road is long and hard but in time you learn to remember the good times and focus your energy on the love you have for her and the good times together. My best advice is to get out and see people, talk about your pain, cry and allow others to cry with you. Try to focus on her life and not on her death, she is okay now and will never have to suffer again. God bless.

this girl was truely AMAZING, and one of the most NICEST people i EVER met.

I didnt know Jule, but I just graduated from the high school she was about to attend, and I knew her older brother. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kovar family.

um I know a family with three girls one of them was a tennager that was jule's best friend I used to spend so much time with them jule was a very nice,pretty,sensitive,and loving person I miss her terribly this girl was everybody's friend and she deserved to have the front page on every newspaper in the world so that everyone knew that she had passed away and was going to a better place where she would never have to suffer any pain again.I am also writing this with love for some people from school who were also her friends and boyfriend who really cared about her and never got to say goodbye.

Jule was a beautiful person she always kept her head up high. I remember the day she passed. I was garage saling with my friend. I remember just strangers talking abot her. Some even cried as they told the story, her story. It seemed like everywhere I went there was mourning in the eyes of every person. I still do think about her I dont think I'll never forget.
