i think the person is trying to say. that parents need to be aware. that the teachers are not really watching your children. there was a incident, that a child got hurt while at school, under supervision of her teacher. the parent was not notified or told of the incident. the child was serious hurt. so something has to be done to make sure this never happens again. we as parents trust that our children are safe and looked after at school. if there is a incident that the school notify us. We need to stand together in this situation, and make a point that this will never happen again.

So sad. Does anyone know the little girl's name, teacher, grade, or family? I am am absolutely appalled that nothing was done for this poor little girl. I have 2 girls enrolled at FGES and now I am afraid of what could happen to them. Why did the teacher do nothing? You know that little girl had to be balling her eyes out. If I was her family, I would sue the school for everything I could get. I am not sure of all the details but it seems to me that now that the little girl has both arms in casts, she will not be able to do her homework and will fall behind in school resulting in being retained. Being retained is bad enough but this could be a smart child that is falling behind her grade level due to the negligence of those who we leave our children in the care of. I don't care what time of day it happened, she should have been taken to the nearest hospital and I am sure that most parents agree. There is the possibility that this child could experience problems from this later on in her life. I am extremely saddened that this happened and that it happened in on3 or our own schools. Action needs to be taken before the next time it is YOUR or MY child. This school's priorities are screwed up. A child has broken bones, is crying and in obvious pain but the teachers seem to think art class and a child not receiving a BIF is more important. Screw the BIF, seeking treatment is more important and I am positive the doctor would have had no problem giving her a doctor's excuse covering at least a few days or week, if not longer. I would home-school the child if the school can't straighten up and learn what the college they attended, teaching, and the love of children was supposed to do.
