Well, I see that Obama's decision is meeting the usual derision from the Republicans. Not one of you, OK, maybe one, care about the military or the troops on the ground.

The Ft. Hood Major was promoted to Major because no one else would stay in. There is a 100% promotion rate for Captains that will stick around. Thank You Mr. bush. I am sure all of you arm chair hero's out there know what that means and its implications for the future force.

The Congress increased troop strength over the objections of bush and Rummy. Since the election, Congress and Obama increased end strength yet again. They have greatly increased the support for veterans in the 2010 budget and they got the military a 3.4% pay raise in a year with no inflation.

Yet the Chickenhawk bush idolizers on here think Obama and Congress do not care about the military, why? Because they have some type of reasoning (is it possible for a Republican to reason?) or is political expediency?

And Boehmer continues to defend spending on Medicare as Soldiers die.

How many Americans have died in Afghanistan while this Non-Commander-In-Chief has waxed and waned, flipped and flopped, dithered and dallied over his Generals' troops request?

Well, what do you all expect from a Chicago community organizer who's never served his country in the Armed Forces in any capacity?

This is real leadership people. In spite of all the criticism from the same people who lied this nation into an illegal war and rushed our troops to them being unnecessarily maimed, injured and killed; President Obama took the necessary time to gather all important information, talk to his advisers and think things through before he makes his decision. That is moral, strong and brilliant leadership; and I along with the rest of America are proud of this President.
Yep. And while he was thinking about it, he played a little golf, he scooted over to Copenhagen to lobby the IOC for his Chicago pinhead cronies, and he celebrated Hispanic Day with JLo at the White House - all while a record number of U.S. troops died in Afghanistan. Moral, strong and brilliant leadership!

No, despite blazing red flags, Hasan remained in the military because of a sickness in this country called political correctness.

The problems you cite are not just a bash Bush/bash Obama situation. Our military policy is ineffective. Maybe that's why we can't keep these men and women in the armed forces. Our leaders tell them they have cutting edge equipment and training, yet we send them off with one hand tied behind their backs. It's supposed to be an army, not a construction company or public relations firm. We blow up buildings and other structures, then inexplicably spend millions to rebuild them! It's ludicrous!
I'm conservative, but not a lock-step drone. I have no problem with the President taking his time on this issue, it's important. Let's just hope that whenever and whatever he decides, it works out well for our soldiers and sailors, and our nation as a whole.

Yeah, that, too. It also took him less time to invite the reality show "Iron Chef" to the White House. Priorities, priorities.

Trainer, I have read the Bible. America got involved anyway. I can't stand it when people are butchered or blown apart. The idea of restarting Israel at this point was stupid. The bible will tell you that because of the issues that has developed from the emergence of the Israeli state in the late 1940's. Most of the Israeli people are secular. The West has bent over backwards to accomidate the Israeli state. I think there are internal issues in Israel between the secular side and the hassidic and/or religious side of that nation state. I know the Bible says that God will take his wrath out on his chosen people. But what bothers me is that so many others have to die and suffer for their arrogance and other faults while thinking they have done nothing wrong. Those who speak out are ostricized. We have the power to delay the end game. But we have lost the will.

The end game started years and years ago. We are at a point now what has been put in motion will be hard to stop. It will esculate to WW3 by most likely Syria with an all out attack on Israel backed by Iran. then it's every man for them self.
It's closer them most think.
I understand your point but let what is going on stay in the Middle East If we bring the troops all home the war will still continue but it will be on our soil.
