I can't imagine the sort of courage it takes to serve so many tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanastan. I, myself, could not nor would not do it. I guess a hero is someone who will do something that many of us are afraid to do. Sgt.Allen is certainly a hero. I'm hoping that he will have a park, street or building named after him so that no one ever forgets his name.
Thank you for serving our country, Sgt.Allen.

Dewey, you come here, to a fallen soldier's online memorial, to ask for thanks for YOUR service? 2 words for you:'completely inappropriate' As a 2 time combat veteran myself, I'm embarrassed to have read that.
Rest in peace SSG Allen. I'm sure your leadership and steadfastness will be missed within the non-commissioned officer corps. My condolences to Allen family.

Nekl Allen was a great soldier and a wonderful and warming man. My prayers go out to Amy and his family including Nekl.
Always in my prayers,

I think that your correct. It was innapropriate. I should have just said Thanks to all that have served and who still serve today. I wanted to attend his funeral, but there wasnt any reporting on where the service would be held. I served in the exact same unit as he. So we had the same leadership. I know how it is to lose friends on the battlefield. May he forever be remebered for his sacrifice.
