My guess is that this developer thinks he can hood-wink us poor northern New Yorkers....we just aren't that smart.

I would like to see the records in the Court House to verify that these townhouses were selling fast. Last time I checked our local real estate listings they were NOT.

Also, if you develop the land, then take care of it. No one plows my driveway. And furthermore, I can't believe that there are that many Fort Drum families that want to live as far out as Lowville. We have had some great families put down roots here but the majority of families in the service choose to settle closer to post....

I hope that his request isn't even considered...and if it is then I have some Tug Hill swamp land that I would like to develop at everyone's cost!

You do need to get your facts straight and you can go look it up at the courthouse it is public record I believe all but one or two of the houses are sold and the houses are built on a new road he is asking that the road be plowed not there driveways - when new roads are added they need to be added to be plowed the people who bought those houses deserve it and a lot of them were soilders that bought them.

No, he is asking if the road can be maintained IF he builds more houses. Does he plan to build? Or is this his way of convincing us to pay to have the road plowed and maintained. Sorry....but I don't want to pay for his development.

Why can't he hire a business to maintain the road? That would put money in people's pockets as well. And what does a soldier buying a house have to do with the price in China? The people who buy houses there don't deserve any more than the next person who buys a house elsewhere, be they civilian or military.

Not trying to be mean....just practical and protective of my pocket book.
