Under the guise of recsue they can sell these puppies for $400 to $450 with no pet store license to do so. They get them housed inside homes where there is no proper disinfectant and protocols followed plus no inspections, no overhead costs. They get money donated to spay and neuter and pay to rent a van to bring puppies up to Mass. The problem is by buying these puppies in Tennessee we struggle with the market they keep going. Some people are breeding mixed breeds to sell to this group. This tactic just adds to the market demand. Now we have puppies being shipped into the states from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Asian and Africa with diseases we know nothing about. Sato has sent in over 14,000 from Puerto Rico alone. This moving dogs from one region to another only keeps the problem of mixed breeds going as it creates a market in the shelters for these dogs.
There should be oversight on this market as this is big business now not rescue any more. |

Now THIS is what H$U$ should be supporting - instead of calling for mass extermination!
