AIMCO is in the process of selling any property that isn't in a big city. They want to keep it a big secret so residents and vendors dont find out about it and get nervous. As badly as they are trying to keep this a secret, there has to be a reason for it. Everywhere I post, I get threatening responses about this. Only problem is, that they don't know for sure who is posting this. They can only guess. I have also told my partner about these threats and she knows what to do if anything happens to me.

Aimco has to be in a liquidity crisis. They've got over a hundred properties for sale on their website. They just finished selling a 47% equity interest in a $726 million portfolio for $202 million, which appears to be a $250 million loss. They've abandoned their re-entitlement projects, putting up Springhill Lake and Lincoln Place for sale without having attained any new entitlement. They sold Foothill Apartments without having achieved the re-entitlement. Treetops in San Bruno is about to be cited as a nuisance and Aimco has admitted that their re-entitlemnt there no longer pencils out.Watch for that one to be sold (at a loss), too.
Where have you posted this and what kind of threats? What do you think the reason is? |

i moved out of a house in pacifica last month that had 40 times more penicillium+ aspergillis, inside than out. it seems to be a huge secret (but not) that this area is full of mold, amongst the landlords in town. it's been extremely hard to get proper medical or legal advice. i understand why folks hire a lawyer to wade through the b.s. of this experience.

AIMCO has already sold a huge apartment complex in Fort Collins, the new owner: JRK Residential Group a company out of Los Angeles, California.
This new owner has cut back on the office hours, maintenance crew and a few other areas also. In the complex already one can see that the area is being neglected as for as trash in the complex parking lots and near the mailboxs. AIMCO was a wonderful apartment complex owner |

AIMCO....SHOCKER!! AIMCO just sold a huge property named Westlake Apartments of Indianapolis, IN. Westlake is located on the westside of Indianapolis. This apartment complex is well known for it's huge lake which you can see right off of the I-465 interstate. The next largest that is managed by AIMCO in Indianapolis named Lake Castleton, is ALSO for sale!! The Westlake property was sold to Hampshire Properties of Brooklyn, NY. Westlake has 1,381 apartment units, and Lake Castleton which is the second largest in the Indy metro area has 1,260 apartment units.

Many place there were once excellent places to rent have now become poor managed and poor upkept properties. Some tenants even think that the other tenants want to listen to their loud music and tvs. The noise from running up and down the steps is louder than a herd of cattle on the run!

I used to work for AIMCO. Terry Considine is selling all of his properties because he doesn't think the stock price is high enough. (That's the AIMCO line) I guess being in a recession shouldn't affect him. I think he's going to sell out, and AIMCO will no longer be a company in about 2 years.

P.S. All of you anonymous people seem scared, so you probably work for AIMCO, or one of the companies that bought you.

Obamanomics will sure send a lot of places under! ********** Our Reply: The bad economy is due to the Bush & Cheney Iraq lie. Just think of how much money and lives that could have been saved, if the GOP were more truthful? Furthermore, President Obama inherited this economy from the Bush/Cheney regime! |

Yes I agree, Obama inherited it from Bush and Cheney, but Bush and Cheney inherited it from Clinton (Slick Willie) and Gore!
But don't look for Obama to fix it! That boy is sure out of touch with reality and lost in a fantasy world. |

Does anyone know of other portfolios for sale in Indianapolis that is not being sold by AIMCO and not widely marketed?

With AIMCO selling and being bought; don't look for the new owners to improve much for the tenants; you can surely take a look around they are improving the face of the properties. New signs, new office porch and steps; and an added feature flags and flag poles! Luring new tenants is the name of the game for huge payoffs, the first place they see is a sign, steps, porch and then they usually say first impression lasting one. Let's not forget the rent is due on the 1st!
Several tenants work at nothing all day, drive new cars, have loud stereos and have money for buying fireworks! Maybe Obama gave them a Stimulus Package for signing a new lease! |

I used to work at one of the properties in fort collins. I drove through it the other day after AIMCO sold it to JRK a little over a year ago. What a shocker. Doesn't look like the AIMCO properties ever did. Weeds everywhere, trash everywhere, parking lots need restriped, what a mess. I heard JRK cut way back on maintenance, but this is bad.

I'm working on trying to get funding for an Aimco property that's for sale. They paid $37 million in 2007, and they are going to take a huge hit. I'm going to gather some funds and offer $21 million.

No, the bad economy is due to the crappy lending practices of the banks, and then corporate greed when the economy began to waver. Like Terry Considines stance that AIMCO stock should be higher than anyone elses in the same boat. He bought low, and attempted to sell high. While I enjoyed working with AIMCO for the most part, I wouldn't do it again. |

Sounds to me like you're jealous of your fellow tenants... |
|||
|
You are wrong on both the tenant and jealous issues!
Besides I am not a tenant! Being jealous is just not part of my life! |

Maybe not, but judging others sure seems to be. |
