Son of Fayetteville woman is killed in combat in Afghanistan

Attacked: Army Pfc. Brandon M. Styer was killed in action on Oct. 15 in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

It upsets me to read this. To the family of this loss, God Bless You for having a son, brother brave enuff to honor our country. To young to die and to much of a great loss for all in this family. So sad to read this. Just attended a military funeral last week for a soldier who died in Iraq. May the Lord bring comfort to Brandon's family. And I hope that the Lancaster county area shows more respect to this young man than the York county area did. Such a huge sacrifice he has made should not go unacknowledged.

As a disabled verteran who served hazardous duty I am so sorry to hear of this loss of a hero. Many don't know the shoes that he had to walk in, defending us who live in the United States who take so many things for granted.
