They could have picked a better place for the Memorial.

That little strip of land is where the drunks used to hang out.

And what about all the pot holes in the streets and that water plant they are raising our taxes for?

They are building all this stuff and we have to pay for it out of our pokets.

We need to commemorate, we need to advocate, we need to communicate, we need to appreciate, we need to aggravate, we need a fat gal named Kate, we need a government program...

Where would anyone park that might want to get out and actually read what's on the memorial anyway? Horrible location!

It's not even level. I guess if you tilt your head, cringe your toes, and hold your tongue the right direction in your mouth, It will turn out to be worth the millions. Especially since as said before, not even one parking space.

The mayor states that there is always someone there when he goes by. I have never seen ayone there at the site (with the exception of city workers during construction)
I do wish the reporter would have asked where all these visitors are parking, that would be some helpful information
The mayor also referenced the CIF (Community Improvement Foundation) and all their wrok and (ahem) help with the art projects
How many tourist and industry dollar has the art brought in anyway? I know they said the art would, let's have an accounting
Over budget, under thought, under utilized, etc... yep, your government at work

Come on, man. For only $350,000, it was worth every penny. And it didn't cost us taxpayers one cent. The Mayor even said so.

Please don't forget the cost of the city's contribution to those employee's pension and their cost of insurance while they are working.
True, they would get these benefits anyay, but they are still costing the city these monies while they are doing this work, and those expenses are not included in the "in-kind" costs.
They should be.
