I agree... I own a pit bull and everyone is scared to death of her. We got her as a pup and she is absolutely the biggest baby ever. I have 2 small grandkids and they adore her as much as she adores them. Yes she likes to chew on everything she possible can get her teeth on but to hurt some innocent person that would never happen
You say that now...

A lot of my family members and friends have had nothing but pits or pit mixes. I have never seen one of them bite anyone. And they have been around kids of all ages, infants, and adults of all kinds. Right now my husband and i own four pit mixes, and they are some of the best dogs ive ever own. We have three kids ranging from 9 months to 2 years old and they lay all over and maul all over our dogs, and heres the funny thing for all those out there who say pits should be banned. The dogs just lay there and take it. Thats right they don't growl boark bite nip or anything else. And the best part is if they dont want to be messed with by the kids or anyone for that matter they just go to their beds and lay down. Pits are dogs just like any other breed. It all depends on the owner on how they are raised and trained. If yall would look up info on a pit you would learn that they are actualy indeed great nanny dogs and are one of the few genius breed out there. Stop hatin just cause we have those people out there that train there pits to be aggressive and/or fight with anything and everything that moves. So im one of those people who are against pit bull bans here in Oak Grove, and my husband and i will stand against it if it does come to call. For we love our pits and take them everywhere with us, and yes that means into the stores with us to. We are a pit rescue and we recomend pits to people who are looking to get a new puppy for their family, as well as we do offer taining advice to those who ask for it on how to train and raise their dogs pits or any other breed. think about what you say about a breed before you try to put the breed down.
