When did you CHOOSE to become a "christian"?
Can you answer honestly?

ere ya go, bob. One of my posts from another thread. Let's just see if we can agree on some national interests other than this one: Copied this from another thread on this subject: Illegal Aliens Spreading Diseases Across USA
Today, in California, Florida, Georgia and spreading to other states across the nation, recent arrivals are so accustomed to throwing their used toilet paper into boxes, they throw it into trash cans. Whether they work at the counter or chopping tomatoes, they often do not wash their hands. Thousands carry head lice, leprosy, tuberculosis and hepatitis A, B, and C.
Annually, an estimated 800,000 illegal aliens cross America's southern borders while avoiding a health screening. They are not stopped or vaccinated for a host of diseases they're bringing into America. Who is at risk? Everyone, but especially our school children when they come in contact with in-excess of three million illegal alien school children daily.

It has >>everything<< to do with the subject at hand.

Either you chose to become a christian, or you had it forced upon you against your will.

If you chose? Why did you choose christianity, instead of say, catholicism or mormonism or even islam?

If you did not choose? Why do you keep putting up with the self-limited slavery?

Questions I've always wondered-- but nobody ever has a reasonable answer.

The problem here?

Is that no leaders in Washington give a rat's behind about this issue.

They only pay lip service to what is a very serious problem.

Your slanted article points out one of several problems with thousands of undocumented workers.

Another is that these people are not insured-- so they clog up the ER rooms with minor things, as they cannot get normal ordinary health care-- no documentation? No health care-- except for the legally mandated "help everyone" emergency rooms.

Still another, is that these people are not paying legal income taxes-- some work for cash, completely outside the system, and are being exploited by those illegal companies abusing them as virtual slaves.

But others, have FICA withheld by their employers, but they will never reap any benefits from that-- their Social Security cards are all fake.

The Congress has been well aware of the busted SS card scam-- it is one of the easiest things to fake-- it's antiquated, it's printed at the level of 1950's technology.

Do either the DemoWimps or the ReThugs care? Nope-- year in and year out, both parties of the rich, pay lip service to the fake SS problem-- while ignoring it completely.

The Social Security cards have not changed in many, many decades-- it's a laughingstock.

----------

I agree-- the illegal workers are a serious problem.

Most are here to make a limited wage, to send home to their even poorer relations. A few are hardened criminals, and are here to move drugs and other illicit substances under the very noses of law enforcement.

What's the answer?

Well-- there are several possibilities.

Wanna hear some ideas that might work? But neither the ReThugs nor the DemoWimps have the backbone to implement them.

Why?

Because those who benefit from illegal cheap labor, have deep pockets.

And those pockets have purchased Congress, to continue to ignore the problem.

You didn't originally ask "if", but "when"- so, yes I chose.

Allow me- in a glass cassarole dish, marinate the chicken in beer for a day, take it out, warm to room temp (almost), bake in the dish and beer for 45 min. at 375, allow to cool (leave it in the dish with the beer), next day (or 2), bbq it. There ya go, 3B Chicken. Try to stop when you get to your fingers.

:)

It's a problem.

Until our "leaders" in Washington are motivated, nothing but the thinnest of surface gloss will be applied to the issue.

So far, the only thing that seems to motivate them is greed-- their campaign coffers are overflowing with $$-- which they get to keep at the end of their time in office.

That would be one place to target these do-nothings (Washington legacy politicians)-- eliminate them being able to keep this slush fund-- return it to the people, by applying it to the overburden of US debt.

On the illegal immigrant issue, it's the rich capitalists and politicians who do their bidding who are the real issue here, in my heart I know if I'd been born in Mexico or Africa I'd be doing my best to get into America or Europe too,no one can honestly say otherwise.us Brits & yanks have been born lucky and need to count our blessings or just thank our wonderful luck, depending on which side of the religious fence one sits on
