20.42% of the US military is non-religious, which is higher than the average of the USA as a whole.(16%)

That means almost 1 out of 4 in the US military is non-religious.

My brother is non-religious and he served 4 years in the navy. It's braver to fight and die for a country and knowing you will not go to some fairy tale place when you die compared to Christians or Muslims who are so eager to die for their sky fairy god and go to some fairy tale land that probably doesn't exist.

I looked for twenty minutes and could find NO verification of those Numbers other than on atheist web sites. Which are less than credible in this case

Ah… but then again, war is immoral, and wrong.
Which could as well explain the higher percentage of non-religious persons in the military.

Yeah. I mean, it's not like the presidents who launch these wars are CHRISTIAN or anything.

Are you saying people who are not religious are immoral? If so you are a horrible bigoted idiot. The reason it's higher is because the military is full of young people who are not very religious.

True and if xtians practiced what they preach, they would not go to war. When is the last time we fought xtians? It was Hitler, and he rallied as a savior to modern xtians.

According to a paper by U.S military statisticians, 25.50% of military personnel have no stated religious preference. If the proportions in the general population hold up, about half of those (12.75%) are nonreligious and about a quarter (6.37%) are nonbelievers, but that is only a projection.
