would be interested in seeing the history of happenings from 74-78 as I lived there and graduated from FB Hish in 75. My parents owned the Chick'n Pizza Place and then bought and ran the Flying Bear Candy store...we would always go to the Alton's Candies Shop when camping either in Mendo, van Dammne or MacKerricher

I'm so excited to see your post. I moved to Ft. Bragg in 1973 and established the Grey Whale Inn, converting it from the old hospital. My sister and I were frequent visitors to Flying Bear Candy store, addicted to the hot fudge sundaes. Since my daughters and I moved from there in 1978, I have tried repeatedly to duplicate the hot fudge sauce, as has my sister, but with no luck. If your parents would share the recipe they would make us supremely happy.
Where did you and your family move to? Or where do you live now? My daughters look back on our time in Ft. Bragg and the Grey Whale Inn as probably the happiest time of their lives.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi Stacey & Naomi, I know a lot of time has passed, but if for any reason either of you pick this up and could send me any news of Flying Bear I would love to know. I too was a frequent and devoted visitor in the mid to late 70's as a child. I remember loving everything! I am having trouble finding any information on FB online. I would greatly appreciate any memories.
