I believe Mr Jones already is affliated with one charter school out in the valley. Maybe he is just trying to boost his own ADA.

I'm out of here. This conversation has deteriorated to a pile of rubbish. Get out of your chair and go do something worthwhile and don't come back home until you do!

<quoted text>How about better parenting??? Blaming the teachers and deputies is being the typical irresponsible parent. IT STARTS AT HOME!!!
As a native parent of 3 (ranging in age from 8 to 15) I agree that it begins with parenting.... but that parenting needs to be reinforced by the teachers. For example: All of my kids are 4.0 students, have been since kindergarten.... they're respectful and they mind their manners... so if I wonder why for the past year or more my youngest has been bullied by numerous children..... from the same grade, as well as from other grades. Yet... my child is the one that misses the rest of the day of school (all the time, worried about grades slipping because of missed assignments) when bullying takes place. furthermore, there are NO repercussions for the bully. From personal experiences, I am of the opinion that the majority of our teachers are too chicken shit to even mention to CERTAIN parents with their child is doing.... for fear of the retaliation of said parents. It makes me wonder why they call the police on children when it should be the parents answering for it.... given they haven't taken an active role in their child's attitude.... which leads me to another thought... why not just go ahead and tell her parents let their kid is doing and if the parent responds inappropriately... THEN they call the cops. If nothing else, it may just train those type of people to stop acting like A-holes at the school.

P.S. would there happen to be anyone on this forum from the county school system that can explain to me why there is no program to deter negative behavior in our school... uh like... maybe bully prevention?
