Well its usually within the following week that they follow up, may have been too busy to do them since its the ER nurses who do the calling, when they aren't busy.

Are you a nurse? Doctor? Do you know anything about x-rays? You have heard of swelling, right? I'm sorry you didn't have a satisfactory experience at the ER, but many times there can be a fracture that is not seen on the inital x-ray due to swelling. And a fracture can be anything from a crack to a full break. Sometimes there are artifacts on the film, sometimes the positioning of the arm can cause a missed fracture. Don't automatically jump to the conclusion the doctor screwed up. There can be factors that caused him to miss the fracture. Plus. Each fracture is different and shows up differently on film. It's not uncommon for a wrist fracture to be missed due to swelling. If you feel you have a legit complaint, then why not document it and send it to the administrator instead of complaining on here?
First of all i am not a nurse or a doctor, but when we followed up with our doctor i showed him the exrays and pointed out where the wrist was not only broken but where the growth plate was pushed forward. Second, i did document and filed a complaint. Spoke with Mr Herzog several times. He is a bad doctor because not only did he misdiagnose a broken wrist but he also misdiagnosed a eye condition on my son that now he is partially blind i was that eye and will eventually have to have a cornia transplant to save his eye! Im not complaining on here or trying to run anyone down, just simply stating the facts.

My problem is with Dr. Beazley. He is an arrogant stuck up his own a$$ jerk. Why do they continue to allow him to work there? They are going to end up with a major law suit if because of him. About the nurses. They are all pretty good except for a select few. Her name is Pat. The chubby short haired blonde who thinks her sh!t don't stink. I thought nurses were suppose to be caring and compassionate. She's mean as hell. They will talk about you like a dog with you in the next room. One time, I walked around the corner and caught Dr. Beazley and a couple of nurses talking bad about my daughter that was being seen. Not only were they talking bad about her. They were making fun of her as well. She was being seen for something very serious. I refuse to see him. I'll tell ya something else I do not like about the ER. Beside the hours and hours that you have to wait to be seen. They refuse to let you know what Dr. is on duty until you get back there. I guess they are afraid you will leave if it's Dr. Beazley or someone else that you don't like. Which that should be your option. He!!, you're the one paying for it. Whether it be you, insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. It's not them footing the bill. So it should be your right. Is that even legal for them to refuse you that information?

I was a clerk in this ER for a while. I have to side with the Drs and nurses on this one. The people of Forrest City have abused the ER to an extent beyond belief. The wait times would be way lower if they didn't have people showing up at the ER for a rash that developed THREE WEEKS AGO! oh, and a 99 fever IS NOT a reason to go to the ER!! and you said that ''they'' aint paying the bill because you have medicaid...... duhhhh, who do you think funds medicaid?? Of the people that use the ER, 68% is medicaid. If the medicaid pt is trying to seek medical treatment and it is deemed ''non-emergent'' by medicaid, the hospital will not be reimbursed. thats when shaniqua gets all mad after calling the ambulance to bring her to the ER because it burns when she urinates and the doctor will not treat her. This is not an emergency!!!! go see your family doctor, who by now is also sick of you and your drama. If the Doc on call is so bad, why do you keep coming back to the ER two times a week?? go see a specialist, goofy. YOU are ultimately responsible for your own health. Stop sitting around eating fattening foods and smoking the cigarettes and then sueing the hospital because you had a heart attack. It aint the doctors fault you'r ignorant. take care of yourself and stop begging the american taxpyer to foot your bills.

If you think medical care is bad now, wait until the rest of Obamacare kicks in in 2014. If the Supreme Court doesn't kick it out this year, we are all going to suffer in more ways than you can imagine. Not Obama and the other politicians, remember -- they excluded themselves from Obamacare and it's resultant misery and death and will continue to use our tax dollars to pay for the absolute best of everything the world has to offer for themselves.

I don't know about the death and misery part, but hopefully the healthcare bill will die in the supreme court.

The best thing to do is fire the president in November. Let's all do our parts.

To guest that replied to Fed Up. No, I guess you can't fix stupid because you are still talking. You must be a very ignorant person or have problems reading. I never said that I was on Medicaid. You made that assumption based on one of the examples I used. Go back and read the post again. You may want to take it slow this time so you don't make ignorant assumptions. As for why do we keep coming back to the ER. Well, for one, my spouse has several health issues that he sees his doctor for on a regular basis. However, when his health issues cause him to become dehydrated, blood pressure rises to stroke level, has a migraine that has lasted for 2 or more days with nausea and vomiting, gets down in his back and can't walk due to his Degenerative Joint Disease, ankle gout flares up without warning. So bad that he can't put a sock on. It would be very nice if he could get sick during the hours from 8:00-5:00 M-F. But that never seems to be a choice we are given. There's been a few times he got sick during those hours and I took him to his Dr. But, most of the time it's at night or on the weekend. We would never go to the ER unless it was absolutely necessary. We are thankful that God has granted him this long to live with such major health problems. So why would we want to go to the ER and complain about minor silly complaints. Then have to wait for hours. Only to be sent home with a prescription for "Follow up with your doctor tomorrow". We wouldn't. I don't believe in wasting time, money or the available space in an ER for minor and silly health issues. Our private insurance

that we have is probably one of the best that a person can get. Depending on what procedures they do. Our insurance pays 80%   and sometimes 100% for ER visits. And it's through my husbands job. A job that he works for full time. Rarely misses work. I have to beg him to go to the ER when he gets sick. I'm not a  Shaniqua kind of person. A lot of people that go to the ER for stupid crap. Should have to pay out the a$$ for their visit or have their Medicaid revoked, etc. Their abuse of a good thing will one day catch up to them. They need to be thankful they only have minor problems. And you, big mouth, should stop being so judgmental and have compassion for the ones who deserve it. You need to stop assuming that everybody is the same as Shaniqua. I didn't make that post to get knocked down the way I did. People like you have no right working in the health care profession. Even if it is just as a receptionist. Because the front desk is where it all starts. I'm glad you're not there anymore.

Most of those major health issues you listed are NOT major health issues. And if u have a migraine, why does it take 2 days to do something about it? U could have gone to your dr. Nausea, vomiting and dehydration? If u had gone to the dr with nausea/vomiting u wouldn't get dehydrated. If it didn't start until late in the night, I doubt he got dehydrated that quick. Obviously, he wasn't an emergency, regardless of what YOU may think. You got a prescription, what else did u want??? And if u had gone to your dr in the first place u wouldn't have needed the ER. That goes for Medicaid, self pay and those with insurance. It's a hell of a lot cheaper!!!
