We had to wait 5 and a hafe hours just for three stiches and a exray. They stand around and laugh and talk not knowing people are to sick to wait until the Doctor feeds his ego with the nurses. they should play later after work o yea they must hurry home to the wife and husbands then.

Shut it down? What about the prison? What about emergencies? What about factories? You may need it yourself, some businesses and prisons require one.Until we get this town cleaned up, no good Drs.are going to move and stay here.

A great place to die? As opposed to being at home? Contrary to popular belief... It doesn't matter where you are or how many nurses or drs there are, if its your time to go... Its just your time to go. Its the circle of life... You cant stop it.
Shut it down? Oh boy then what would you bitch about? 3 little oh stitches? You could have used super glue yourself or better yet how about going to a Drs office instead of the ER! 3 stitches doesnt seem very emergent or life threatening. Which is why you had to wait so long... Because the triage system that i love so much! If you come to the ER for something minor the more emergent people go ahead of you, get over it. The county and surrounding counties that this 1 small hospital cares for has alot of people... Its not just you and your "emergency" so get over it. Im tired of everyone putting this hospital down while all you are doing is abusing the system anyways... And our hard earned dollars are paying for it so instead of complaining about them how about this... Get up, go to school and lets try to get some help up there to better serve our communities. Makes more since than bashing the only form of medical assistance around here. Im sure im wasting my time on the last part because you will just continue to be lazy, live off of welfare, expect everyone else to pay your way, still run up there to the ER for a stubbed toe or a simple cold and still complain. SMH.

Most of the people bitching are the ones with their hands held out.

Just as in any industry, there are going to be mistakes and complaints, and everyone is not going to be happy all the time.

As far as people wishing it would shut down, they are morons. That's one of the last decent places of employment in this town. Those are the same idiots that want to redistribute wealth because that have no desire or motivation to better themselves.

If everyone would pay for their own medical expenses, or at least carry insurance on themselves and their offspring, the medical system as a whole would be better and more affordable.

Unfortunately, the responsible population is no longer the majority.

It honestly depends on the doctor you get. I have been there with son with a broken wrist and waited 8 hours for him to be seen, had to actually get up and start to show my tail then. We waited patiently cause there where several accidents that day with worse injuries than my son. But when i got up to ask what the problem was there was only 3 people in the waiting area and they had came in after us and they had just called one of them back ahead of us. The guy behind the desk looked surprised when i stepped up to the desk like they had forgot about us. When we got back there we saw Dr Beasley who ask my son if he could open his fist(mind you we had just sat for 8 hours and he had his fist closed) when he told him no, the doc asked why? And told him that his fingers had nothing to do with his wrist. After looking at the exrays he told us it most.definetly was not broken that we should follow up with his regular doctor on Monday. Well not only was his wrist broken when we went to doc on Monday, but he had to have surgery to place a pin in cause he had damaged the growth plate. Now more recently my husband had broken his leg extremely bad, we pulled up to ER entrance, i went in really freaking out, two nurses came out and took him right back to triage, Erays immediately, seen another doctor, he told us he had crushed the main bone in his leg, within an hour we were transfered and on our way to the Med. The only problems i have had with the Er have ALWAYS been with Dr Beasley..the nursing staff has always been excellent.

well I for 1 dont have my hand out. I work everyday to provide for my family, but My 17 mth old broke his leg in an accident and they told us yes its broken but they were sending him home so we could follow up with a bone Dr. EXCUSE ME, my baby had a bad break, was given nothing for pain, not even a brace or splint, and when we request to go to lebon. they gave us xrays and sent us on hour way. no splint not NOTHING. When arriving at Lebonhuer they were in shock that A. we drove him ourself and B.that nothing was placed to keep his leg in place, when infact after the bone specialist came to see him stated if this child had as much as bumped his leg we would have had to surgically pin it. HMMMM but guess what, when LEBONHUER and myself contacted that place we NEVER recieved a bill HOW FUNNY. I would only stop there IF someone needed immediate blood. I could go on and on seeing as I used to work there. I could tell sooooo many horror stories from the past but will refrain from it for confidential reasons. but on that note we go elsewhere now.

Point blank, No GOOD will come from shutting the Hospital down, i myself dont think there is enough in the states as it is. You win some, you lose some... You cant save everybody and you cant please everybody. No one is perfect, every hospital out there has missed something or slipped up and has pts feel non satisfied with their care. But again if it was to shut down there would be more complaints and more deaths for lack of care. FCMC has done more right than wrong, more good than bad. I can guarantee i would prefer that hospital over the 3 nearest to it!

Are you a nurse? Doctor? Do you know anything about x-rays? You have heard of swelling, right? I'm sorry you didn't have a satisfactory experience at the ER, but many times there can be a fracture that is not seen on the inital x-ray due to swelling. And a fracture can be anything from a crack to a full break. Sometimes there are artifacts on the film, sometimes the positioning of the arm can cause a missed fracture. Don't automatically jump to the conclusion the doctor screwed up. There can be factors that caused him to miss the fracture. Plus. Each fracture is different and shows up differently on film. It's not uncommon for a wrist fracture to be missed due to swelling. If you feel you have a legit complaint, then why not document it and send it to the administrator instead of complaining on here?
