The fight involved adults coming on to the campus at the end of the day. They were all arrested and charge. Hopefully with a felony. Any time an adult comes on a campus and engages in dangerous behavior then they should Charged and held accountable for their actions.

I think they should spend more money on an upgrade to their video secuity system. But they were probably already given the money to do so but decided to give bonuses instead.

I wish that were the case. The District was given money that could have been used for bonuses for us last year but used it to meet budget requirements. I would have preferred a bonus but have come to understand the rationale.

Also, there is a good security system in place. I believe video from it has been used as during expulsion hearings.

Yea the have a security system but they only use it when it benefits their children, faculty, or staff. The high school and junior high are out of control. They need more experienced and devoted administrators to run these school! I wish we could go back to the days of Mr. Collins, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Chambers! Those were the days when people cared about the CHILD first not their position or status! They had the respect from the community, children, and parents because they earned it! These days the administration doesn't know more than the kids!

I think the children and parents have changed. That is your major difference.

The students and parents have changed, but the administration has also. They are very uncaring and hands off. I have witnessed this on several occasions. Not to lay the blame on one person, but in order to change the students and parents perspective, the FCSD needs to step up and accept their part in this quickly declining school system.

They have updated and are working. To add additional cameras/ lights etc. I wish they could fence in every campus with a 20 foot of non viewing materials. I would love to see lights like a football field every night. Everyone would have to enter the front and be buzzed in...

No Bonuses are going to be given- lay offs are in the district future.

There should be layoffs, all I hear is we are losing more and more students. That would equal a surplus of teachers and empty rooms. Forrest City definately needs to purge the excess staff. If they cant meet standards something needs to be done. I was told they are 80+ seniors doing credit recovery. That is unacceptable. Someone needs to be held accountable.

Has anyone bothered to visit one I R&R other schools that our precious children keep flocking to? If you you would see, happy teachers and staff that greet you and your children everyday. You would see a principle and superintendent determined to keep order in their houses. Have you checked their scores, grades Etc. if you did you would see multitudes of children flourishing in environments that they love to be academically and socially.

I do not understand where most of your thoughts come from but we still are forced to read your negative ideas on Forrest City Schools. Your children are someone elses problems now. Their gain is definately not our loss. Other than your opinion I doubt you ever volunteered anything.

Apparently you don't have a child in this district in this day and time. My negative ideas come from a negative community, my children were never a problem. You are not forced to read a thing, do you know how to not come here? Do you know how to skip over what I type? You don't know me so don't presume to know what in volunteer for.

The thing is not a laughing matter. It pains me to see these schools and town where I was born and raised in this way. I went to school here ,graduated here. I have fond memories of such schools as Forrest hills elementary and Lincoln, middle school and high school. I don't see how you don't see what I say is real, but I dotnt particularly care either because you aren't me and you haven't lived my life and circumstances. I don't judge you yet you and multitudes of others judge me and others who choose different than you. I have 2 children that went to school here up until jr high. The bullying, the lack of supervision, the racial issue where black teachers stick up for black children no matter their behavior, the importance placed more on a uniform that a child's behavior. Ever walk down the hall of one of these schools and witness yelling? How can children flourish, if your child is not fortunate enough to be in an AP class, then they are forced to witness stupidly at levels where few learning takes place. I had one child in regular core classes and one in AP. I know these things from truth and experience. I don't make up these issues. I was witness to them, my children were witness to them. This school district saddens me because of what it was allowed to become, and you can do what others do and blame me, but you need to take a long look in the mirror and think, sit their in your own little world and pretend these things don't matter and that I could have made a difference. When I tried to make a difference teachers, staff, principles looked at me like I was crazy, superintendent didn't care to return a call. Being a single parent I had to make a judgement call miss work for this and be cast out every turn, or take my children some where to learn, prosper, and flourish. If you can't understand that, then your more retarded than I thought you were to begin with. I didn't judge you Til now but since you keep this back and forth up with your condescending tone because I choose different that you, then well so be it.

The AP program is a joke, most of the kids in there do not meet the requirements. Their grades are substandard. So quit feeling sorry for yourself and face the harsh reality that Forrest City is not going to be same as it was when you went to school there. The entire world has changed. So stop trying to relive your childhood. I am so glad your children do not go to Forrest City. My children deserve better company.

Wow, im sure my child who has a 30 on their ACT already, and one year of high left to go, has no reason to be in AP classes.
You really are an argumentative, piece of self righteousness, bull sh!t aren't ya. Yes the world has changed, but most of us can admit, it's not changed for the better. Do you have any common sense, do you live in reality?
Ill continue to do what best for my children and you continue to be a peon who lets their children go to a substandard, unsafe, basically babysitters instead of educators, excuse you call a school district.
Now I'm done with you and your ridiculousness, done.
