Yesterday ,For the first time in a long time I was proud to be an American. I am so very proud of this man for standing up for our rights, the bill of rights and the constitution.

Don't take much to make you proud. He is a showboater, he did this "filibuster" for name recognition. He wants to be at the front of the pack for the 2016 election. Funny thing if Bush would have said he needed drones to take out Americans who had terrorist ties he would not have said a word. This was nothing more than self adoration and partisan politics.

He wouldn't have to because mainstream media would have been all over Bush but they are scared to say anything bad about Obama.

Yes it does take a lot to make me proud. Standing up for our rights, the bill of rights and the constitution is not grand standing. Do you even know what a filibuster is? Have you ever researched it? So what if he did it to try to get our vote in 2016. At this rate there won't be a 2016, and if there is Obama will pass his idea of no term limits for president so that he can e the king he want to be. Why hasn't Obama came right out and said from his own mouth that killing Americans on their own soil by drones is unconstitutional. I don't see him stepping up and satin anything to the sort.

The election in 2016 is going to be a "good one". Both parties will have creditable candidates and this should be the most issue based election since 1980. Honestly the last several elections sucked there was no one on either ticket that really impressed me. At least with the names circulating around 2016, we will have experience on probably both tickets. BTW, I do know what a filibuster is, I have watched "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington". Lol

If Busch would have made that assumption, every liberal would have lined up to filibuster. Rand Paul would be right with them. Libertarians don't believe in war on general, much less war like actions on American soil.

Regardless of whether or not his intentions were selfish, he did bring attention to an important topic.

Need to do away with the parties all together.Good men and women exist in both major parties and are pressured into supporting ideas and opinions that maintain the party agenda. These agendas often do not represent their own ideas or opinions, but rather those ofmajor corporate donors or lobbyist groups. The party leaders have sold out to the almighty dollar and left the country and its citizens out in the cold.

I do believe this mans intentions were good. Not everyone is as self serving a you mention. Some people want to stand up for Americans. I hate it that in this day and age anyone who stands up for themselves is viewers as crazy, or fanatical. If that label was used ever patriot that got us this far as a nation was a radical just serving their own best interests.

Maybe he should do like the prez. He should gather supporters to dress up behind him and go into campaign mode.
