You'll need to be more specific in regard to which policies you'd like to see changed.

You might first collect your thoughts and have specific references to the current policy handbook. Have you approached the school board with this matter? Asked to be added to the meeting agenda? Met with policy committee? Voiced these opinions at Parent Teacher Meetings? Met with the principal? Formed a Parent committee to look over the current policies? FYI you might consider the State Board of Education instead of the governor or secretary of state.

Policy makers and school employees will be more receptive to your efforts if you take this matter seriously and handle it correctly. Starting a petition may not be the best first action, because it suggests hostility.

You feel free to start a petition. In fact why dont you stand out front of Walmart with your petition. Oh thats right, its easier to hide behind Topix avatars. Might get you kicked out of the Country Club or offend one of your neighbors in Washington Heights if they knew it was you. By the way your van is double parked.

To change the policies on uniforms, well some of it such as the color of shoes and strings who cares,i think the kids should be allowed to go to lockers in between each class saves the from toting a heavy backpack and theres more but you put what you would like to change

Sorry, I thought you might have had a litle class. But saves us the trouble of drumming you out of the neigborhood. You feel free to run for school board the next election. School year is over half completed. Why the sudden interest in policies. Your children get caught? Get over yourself. You can always homeschool then you can set your own rules.

and belts. Someones child obviously tried to buck the system and got caught. Now mommas mad because she has to babysit instead of being able to dump her child on the school system.

I guess I have offended someone again. Either that or they are very paranoid. My neighbors in Washington Heights are peering out their blinds. I guess they are afraid of getting caught again. They should be carefull of what they say and do, people are watching. We know who you are, who you hang out with. WE KNOW WHAT YOU DID.
