Why do more kids need to be expelled for an entire year. The school system needs to own up to their failures and restructure the schools. Putting kids out is not the answer

No.

Parents need to own up to THEIR failures for not raising the kids properly.

Putting kids out that cause trouble for the ones that want to learn.. IS THE ANSWER!! If the trouble makers and bullies are out, I might could send my child back to public schools! FINALLY, Good for you FCS, get some more trouble makers and bullies out of there!! Make these schools safe for our children that want to be there and succeed in life!

At least 7 have been expelled this year and I have no problem with it. There are rules to follow in all aspects of society. School should be no different. I read my children's school handbook. If a student commits certain offenses they and their parents know they face expulsion. There should not be exceptions.

And where were the teachers. They have more than enough staff on payroll there should have been someone there.

One of their failures is NOT expelling student that should be expelled. Letting thug trouble makers stay in school and continue to distract the kids who want to learn doesn't make sense and only takes away from what the school is there for.

The doors were LOCKED. When doors are locked it means nobody is allowed in there and shouldn't have to be guarded by teachers or security. Teachers are allowed to have lunch. Other class rooms are locked with the teachers are out. The band hall is just another class room. The kids BROKE INTO the band hall. THEY are the one's at fault. Technically, they could be arrested for "breaking and entering".

Thats what is wrong with the schools today. Parents think its always the teachers fault, when these kids are old enuff to go to school and act right. The teachers are there to teach not babysit. I bet all of the ones that got caught it was not there first time to be in trouble. All the schools need to start kicking them out for the school year and let the parents teach them, if they are capable which prob don't have a high school education.

If they broke into the band hall they should be expelled for the rest of the year and criminal charges should be filed against them. If they do it at school they probably do it at home and in their neighborhood. They need the school more than the school needs them. The school really needs to start cutting its losses ( or in this case lost causes).

I started this discussion as a test. I wanted to see if anyone would speak intelligently or would it turn into a free for all! Needless to say, I won! This site is a bunch of bs! Some of you stay on all of the area forums making comments about every issue in a negative manner. The original question was never answered. This is so disappointing and sad. "Guest" and "guest" it is funny how you two think that these expulsions are needed, but when you commented on the incident that is going on in Wynne, neither one of you felt those children deserved expulsion. Just for the record, I believe that if the circumstances are severe enough, than YES a child should be expelled. I had been informed that the high school was pulling up kids records from previous years and using some of that information against the students this school year. That is why I asked, "Did anyone have information on what these 5 male students had done."

Drugs , repeated fighting and verbally assaulting teachers. All good reason to expel.

Do you have any idea how many people use the alias Guest or guest? To answer your question would be a violation of a minors privacy. Check the school board minutes they might have some information. Or even better ask Mrs. Long?

It would not suprise me that information was being gathered. It should be in their individual school records. When I was going to school you were graded on it, granted it was satisfactory or unsatisfactory. I think it is a good idea. That way the next years teachers have a heads up. A troublemaker in school leads to a troublemaker in society.
