They need Restaurant Impossible franchise prices for un franchised food.Tough steaks instant everything just add water potatoes. Its a shame cook some real food and we would pay good prices.

You had to fight the flies, but the food was good.
JOE was my grandfather. I grew up at the dairy bar, I'm sure you saw me. I wish I could find pics of the place. They put their heart into the place. Glad you liked it, I miss it too! Lots of memories.

I decided to eat there yesterday with my father and give it a chance. As soon as I walked in the place smelled a urinal, the hostess sat us down in the glassed in portion of the establishment which contained water damage on the cieling. A very nice eye sore that's an easy fix. Out waitress seemed less than enthusiastic to wait on us.

My father and I both ordered the ribeye which is priced at 15 dollars with a salad and a side. I ordered my steak medium under the assumption it would be over 2cm thick. My Caesar salad came with eggs and onion in it...I'm guessing the people don't know what a Caesar salad is. My steak was flavorless and small. The entire course of the meal Matt bounced from table to table talking non stop and even gave cash to a girl that said it was her birthday. You could tell people were annoyed and just wanted to eat their food, he kept complaining about the cleaning of the tables infront of everyone. Keep that shit to yourself please, I'm trying to stomach your excuse for a good steak. I decided to give desert a shot and ordered cheesecake, tasted like it was fresh out of a box...costs 4 dollars.

My thoughts about improvement:
Fix the obvious maintenance problems
Matt, sit in your office or just ask how my meal is and move on.
Hire some real cooks and not some prep line.

I understand what you're trying to do, but you're falling way short.

Who are the owners? I have some staff members I want to turn in for very rude behavior! If anyone could let me know or let me know how I could find out I would really appreciate it.

I ate at Pops Place awhile back just to try it for the first time. I had the country fried steak. Service was okay but after only 5 minutes of being gone from the restaurant I became violently sick and threw up my food. Will never eat there again.

Yes it has closed. That's what happens with no support from the community!

No support

Excuse me

Don't blame people for no wanting to spend their hard earned money on food they don't enjoy.

To make a restaurant work you have to work to want to please the public. The food wasn't good. That isn't the public's fault.

I don't live in FC. I was visiting and dined on two separate occasions. The two times I ate there the food was decent. To me it's sad to see a person not make it. Let's face it. It's tough to make it in business. The recent tax increase will certainly not help anything. I hope the owner lands on his feet and tries again and is very successful.

I have always supported Forrest City business'.
We periodically as a family try different places out a few month down the road here and there is they fail. We give them more than one chance. We aren't even picky either.
Example went to nanas diner
Haven't been there in over a year
Was decent food last time but not wonderful.
I sat there freezing the whole time I was in there.
The food was deplorable.
We will not go back.

When you go out to eat you expect the best. Otherwise you would stick to fast food joints all the time, and trust me I have dined better at McDonald's and Taco Bell than I have fined at pops place and nanas diner.

Here's a little hint.
Make it comfortable
Make it it clean
Make it nice
And above all serve food that will knock their socks off !

I have been to Pops as well and enjoyed both the food and service. Matt has worked hard even through bad health. I honestly don't blame the community.. he waited to long to do the right things. Its all a matter of opinion I suppose! Good luck Matt

The reason he closed is because of people like you bashing the place and expecting the impossible! Some people can't be pleased. You clearly have no taste. He worked hard to please this community and listened to those of you who offered options to him, not on a website like this. When the community doesn't support the businesses in the COMMUNITY, they are more than likely going to fail. Hope you enjoy chicken squirted from a tube, because chain drive-thru's with terrible service are all that will be left in this town!! Now, go ahead and continue to ruin any chances for bettering our community! Those of us that care will continue to do what we can to support it!

I love the way people get so upset when people tell the truth around here.
All I have said is truth. If that hurts your feelings or offends you then you have a problem, and I am not the only one that feels this way.
I will not and don't have to patron a place that I don't like the products of, and I laugh at the thought of someone blaming one person for it closing, you crack me up. I wish I was that powerful a lot of things in the town would change.
Now, since your so ticked off about this I'll repeat what I said before, I'll contribute to Patron the places around here that I like, and wish for a great restaurant to be out in its place.
Now have a blessed day, take your blood pressure meds, and contribute to gripe at someone who cares.

I guess your lack of education got in the way of you reading that post correctly! I feel sorry for you! I will not keep replying to someone who clearly can't comprehend what someone says. Oh and an opinion one has doesn't hold value to all and is definitely not "the truth". So easy for people "like you" to be a coward on a website, running people down! Go eat at KFC, they may give you the quality of food and magnificent service you deserve.
