My mother and I were some of the first people on the scene. I felt helpless and wish that there was something we could have done. We knelt down to tell him that help was on the way. We're very sad to hear that he didn't make it...

Anna, that was very kind of y'all. I'm sure Stacy will appreciate knowing that y'all stopped to help.

Saw it after the fact. Looked like he was traveling south on Hwy 1. A truck pulled out from the factory ( use to be Airtherm). He must have been going fast- the motorcycle was really demolished. This was my understanding from passing by. Police and ambulance was still there at the time. Sure didn't know he died.

you do not have to be going fast on a motorcycle to demolish it. Plus the person at air therm is at fault!!

I held his hand and stroked his arm and reassured him that help was on the way...that I could hear the sirens coming and to try to focus on that....I pulled the strap gently away from his mouth so he could breath better and he seemed to relax more and he slowly opened his eyes and searched for my voice. I told him of Gods love for him and that paramedics were there now for him....of course I backed away and let them do their job. Just please, if you happen upon an accident like this, always try to comfort the victim...all I could think about was that this young man was some mothers' son and if it happened to my own son I'd want him comforted as much as possible....my heart is so heavy tonight for Caleb's family but I want them to know that their loved one was held as much as I possibly could during the time right after the accident up until help arrived. Rest in peace and condolences to Caleb and his family.

No one should comment negative comments on here! It wouldn't have mattered if it were his fault, he passed away, enough said. Also the people on here who are sharing their kindness shouldn't be criticized!

To: Hyde 564 and "Sad" - YOU are the pathetic ones! This was a mother who wanted to let Caleb's mom know that there were people who helped her son and who tried to comfort him. When you have children of your own, hopefully you will understand this if it were your child dying on the ground! Not everything written is for self-worth. That's the problem these days, too many people think that it is all about them. It is a crying shame that you did not realize that this mother was saying what was on her heart and she did not say it for self gratification! TOPIX should be removed from the internet because of ungrateful, hurtful people like you!

I apologize - the above statement was suppose to be written to "Almost Hit One Once" and "Hyde 564" - not "Sad".
