Funny i was just there a week ago and the discription above matched my experience there ugh!!! Its like ther try to discourage you from visiting your loved ones. They take pride in being in control and abuse they're power, if it was being MONITORED i'm sure they would be firm not ridiculous. We need to let the REAL people in charge aware of this.

I am also tired of the treatment there as well and they are getting worse. This past saturday 10/25/2008.they didn't start visiting until 9am 1 hour pass POLICY allowed 5 people in then the rest waited for atleast an hour did they allow visit to last beyond POLICY time??? HELL NO. We have to start taking names and writting to Washington D.C. the address is on bop.gov that is the only way of defense against them. The warden is being notified now. Hopefully there will be justice for all. We are all equal in gods eyes.....

I think criminals should be treated like criminals. Why should they be allowed to be treated with any dignity. They are criminals people. NO comforts of home should be allowed. Again, they are CRIMINALS againt society. All rights should be taken away until their time full time is spent. Why should they get three squares a day and the comforts of home when they are criminals and we as American have Fathers Mothers Brothers Sisters Aunts and Uncles fighting a war for the (free ) Americans? Criminals should not have rights.

concerned person obviously isnt aware of life's possiblities.(may work at the facility) Your opinions are hash and "CRIMINAL" the visitors didnt commit the crime and these employees are mad at the inmates for the crime they commited it is job security. They like to "get their rocks off" by be litting innocent people, that will stop once the right people are informed. As far as the "war" goes the people there signed up to help this greedy ass "FEDERAL" government war over anothe country's oil, after they set up 9/11 (watch fareinheight 9/11 before you comment.killing damn near 3000 INNOCENT people. then making AMERICANS pay out the ass for oil through gas. The biggest CRIMINAL are the ones in control....

I agree with what you are saying about the GOVT. But, a criminal is a criminal. It's sad that family members are neglected or are miss treated but, the person in jail is still a criminal. I beleive they should lose all rights and be treated with no dignity due to the fact that they did committ a crime against society and they should be treated like a criminal.

Visiting policies are apart of the law and are some prisioners rights that should be followed respectfully. If for some reason they are not in a manner that is decreasing the time or neglecting the rights of the family/friend to visit and/or the rights of the prisoner to be visited, then it should reported and corrected rapidly. I hope this complication is soon corrected.

THANK YOU!!! The topic was the facility in the first place, not the inmates. No one was created perfect, people have fumbles in life or sometimes make MISTAKES or BAD CHOICES (we all due) there is no reason for any HUMAN to be mistreated, especially being in FEDERAL prison.(NOT STATE,95 percent non violent offenders) This will be taken up with the person in charge.... believe me. hopefully they are not CLOSED MINDED. The visitors deserve respect,if the job is taken too personal, they should consider a career change.

why don't you try and do the job these Federal Correction Officers do everyday. Do you remember just a few months ago a Federal Officer was stabbved to death by 2 inmates. They have a very hard job to do. As far as being hard toward visitors, It is sometime ther visitors bringing stuff into the inmates. Also they do have problems with the computers with will not allow them to process visitors ion at times. So don't think it's a POWER TRIP because their doing their job, Making Sure ALL OFFICERS GO HOMAE AT THE END OF THEIR SHIFT UNLIKE SOME HAVE BEEN ABLE TO IN THE PAST!!!!!!!!!

good line of defense & i could almost agree totaly.....but. that same computer system couldn't mess up EVERY week especially knowing that it is also responsible for the SAFETY of the employees. These employees are aware of the jobs risk before hand the safety part comes with the territory. Again people one trip there and hands down you will agree with the rest of US!!! There is no reason to be a standard ASSHOLE to the visitors ASSUMING we ALL are bringing in contraband. There is no reason to treat people ignorantly. No matter what you say there is a problem with these employees. EXPERIENCE WILL BE THE JUDGE.......

Poor as that community is, most of that towns revenue comes from the prison with people visiting. Go down route 1 where all the hotels resturaunts are pay attention to gas prices, food prices, they are higher in this part of town than any other part of the tri-state area (tennessee, mississippi, missour i)why???? another form of taking advantage. Knowing jobs are few money is tight on top of that the prison is uninviting. They so hung up on CONTROL that they too full of themselves to realize their acctions trickle down hill. REMEMBER no visitors, no JOBS. dont put your own foot in your MOUTH. It's nothing wrong with being CURTIOUS. Bad as this economy is every employer is looking for a way to cut costs. Jobs there are HARD to find.

People please,
Look at the people that bad mouth the prisoners and say they should be mistreated and lose their rights. Please look what states they are writing from, RIGHT .........Arkansas. Don't you know they are guards or guards families writing these things. They are scared of losing their jobs. They are police wanna bees but never could cut the mustard and were not educated enough. This letter is from a real State Police officer and not from Arkansas.........

even a REAL police officer is level headed in this matter, we are not asking for early releases. We just ask for respect while coming to visit our loved one's. I've meet people coming in from California, that is a distance (flying, driving or train) It's not against the law to be corgial. You are right about the visitors bringing in the revenue there,& instead of paying those high prices pack your own food (if possible) buy gas out of that stretch and you'll be fine. The people who live in that area are "sweet as pie"

I was just there saturday and then this topic. Didn't get a taste of the attitudes these people accuse them of havivng maybe warden OUTLAW has been contacted.(but it was mostly men working the shift ah!haaaa!) However the claims of them moving at their own pace..... well lets just say saturday they said the systems were down which decreased our visit by 1 hour and forty five minutes.... NO EXTENTION TO MAKE UP FOR THAT. Get the HELL out at 3pm.

Funny you should mention that the female BLACK employees think they are hot sh** with their underpayed selves. You should try to visit at Brickeys!!! Some, not all, of the black women who work at Brickeys have never been anything out in the real world. So, you give them a little power and they go CRAZY. But you take that uniform off of them at the end of the day, in the store or on the street, and they still ain't sh**. The only thing that makes them "so big and bad" is some big burly inmate just banged the hell out of her and gave her a dollar or two. Money, much needed!

I bet YOU do more on the street...most of ya'll do! And I wouldn't call 2 or 3 hours on Saturday "spending weekends" at prison. If it wasn't for us visitors, you wouldn't have a JOB. Unless you are a warden or deputy you ain't nothing at a prison but UNDERPAYED. Go find a real job where you CAN actually be somebody!

LISA you are power tripping just like these people are accusing you guys of. Your saying that just because folks are tired of being mistreated, again you want to see them at the door??? Which shows are you an enforcer but at the same time an abuser. Stop the shit!!! For the record you spend your weekends at a prison too.(that don't mean shit)
