What is it gonna take to get this school under control. This has been going on to many years. You always hear I will let my kids go to Elementary School in the public schools but once they get to fifth grade I will pull them out. These kids and notice I say kids are out of control there. This is every year. The sad thing is does the school board not see that it needs better leadership. Some one that can take control over the school. They are more out of control than our High School Students. They have no respect for the teachers and it is shown every day in the class room. These students are not perfect k-4 but when they hit the 5th and 6th grade level it is beyond trouble. The teachers can not teach the students that want to learn because of all the interruptions from the ones that stay in trouble. Nine out of ten times you send them to the office and nothing is done but they get to roam the halls or go back to give the teacher more trouble. Can our school board not see they need better leadership in this school. I think they need a man to over see it. Fights break out non stop there. I will be pulling mine out after this year and he will attend 6th some where else. It is sad that children at this age is this bad. My heart goes out to the teachers. Why try when you have no one to back you up. So please FORREST CITY SCHOOL BOARD GET THIS FIXED IT HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGHT

People will listen if you tell the right person in the right way.

I think most of the admin is willing to help if you address the problems through the proper procedures.

If you see the principal and do not feel your needs are met. You should see the superintendent. If then there is still a problem ask to be on the board agenda. The best way to get change is the be apart of the solution.

I think Lincoln should not change classes. The kids are too immature to handle that level of change. I also think the lunch model needs to be redesigned.

It is my understanding state law limits the use of teachers to provide supervision. I think the care and safety of students should come first before breaks for teachers.

I firmly agree that the students do not need to change classes. They really are not ready. They need intensive studies in one classroom. They would still have music, PE, art and library time for the teachers to get a break.

Most schools have students change classes at least once by the time they are in 5th and 6th grade. Heck, alot of schools have them change 5, 6, or 7 times a day.

I agree with you, I too, also went. They just look at you like .. OH, another one of those parents, lets try to agree with them and tell them that we will work on it, just to hurry up and get you out of their office. My child went 1 year and will not go back. Poor teachers have to deal with these unruley kids. My opinion..If your child is causing problems for others,, Leave them at home!!

You if you think any thing said about Lincoln school is a lie just go visit and go through a door where the office do not know that you are there. even though you are suppose to check in. Kids roaming the halls cussing each other. They are so bad toward the teachers. The cops need to be at this school on full time bases if they can not change the ones in charge of the schools. My child has been hurt there twice and I am feed up with it. These kids are 5th and 6th graders do not tell me that there is not some one that can make them mind. They havefights there all the time. and The school board is aware of all of it. They make trips over there and they know what is going on but do they do any thing. Wake up why do you think people take their kids out when they get to the age group. My daughter told me that the teachers can not teach because the kids are steadily acting up cussing and screaming. Some one has got totake control. She was told by a boy what all he wanted to do to her and then when she tried to tell the teacher she was told to sit down. She said on the play ground they are always fighting. I have kids in middle school high school and there and Lincoln is the worse by far and the youngest grade of all three of my kids. What is it gonna take

I had to pull my kid out because I had to take him to the hospital twice over group of children ganging up on him. The last time they cracked a rib and punctured his ear drum. The principal told me she could not guarantee his safety. So I homeschool. That place is a zoo.

I went a from 4th grade till 8th grade in Forrest City and good grief there were fight all the dang time. Reverse racism was excepted as "OK" or "not a big deal". I have family that live in Forrest City still, and i feel bad for them because there seems to be little or no hope in that whole community and area of the state. I went to school in 3 different towns growing up from Arkansas to Texas, and Forrest City by far was the worst. The kids were out of control there and the faculty was unable to ever get it together. Every time i visit Forrest City im thankful that i live 1000 miles away from it. It would not be so bad i think if there was enough quality employment, and educated employees. Too much welfare recipients in that area and parents that just dont teach good morals. Its just a huge mess. Theres no easy fix really. I remember going to school there and getting called "You white boy" and "Cracker" stupid stuff like that, right in front of teachers and nothing was ever, i mean ever done. I got tired of it and moved back with my mom in Texas. Not to mention i never would have recieved a quality education there. PS....the food in the schools sucked lol. That said, WOO PIG SOOEEIII GO HOGS!!!
