This article could have benefited from some pictures. I saw the accident shortly after it happened and it looked serious.

Same here, Thomas... I didn't even realize what had happened until I got right up to it... it just looked like something was covering the front of the tractor trailer and then I realized that it was a car... the cab of the truck was literally IN the passenger seat. I hope the driver of the car recovers. Seeing that accident definitely made me count my blessings this morning!

This article doesn't even compare to what it actually looked like. It was devestating. By the looks of the accident the lady is very lucky to still be alive.

I pulled this lady out of her car and I will tell you it is a miricle she is alive. She definately needs our prayers! I hope there is a follwup to her condition. The truck driver was not hurt, but was mentally very upset! Seeing this type of accident is something you only think of in the movies. I was upset in the inaccuracies of the reports and the lack of more coverage of this severe accident.

The young lady was my younger cousin Tracy Wilkinson. She expired Aug 8, 2007. She was 28 years old and one semester away from her Masters Degree. We grew up more like sisters than first cousins and I loved her very much. She will be truly missed and thank you all for your prayers

I wish I could have done more! I am a nurse and it hurts that I couldn't do more to help her! I wasn't the only one though, there was an off duty EMT named Kim and several gentleman, who without their help, I could not have gotten her out. They got her door open and helped free her leg! I pray that your holidays were joyous in remembering her and know that you were inmy prayers! For some reason, I think of her and your family often. I drive by there several times a week and think of her! I will continue to keep your family in my prayers! God Bless you!

On behalf of my family I wanted to thank everyone who attempted to help Tracy and thank you for your continuous prayers. My family has been through a lot this year totaling 7 deaths starting with Tracey's Aug 8, 2007. The second death was very tragic also, our 22yr old cousin Felicia Ann Spratley, was murdered in Landsdowne by her daughter's father Sept 8, 2007, exactly 1 month after Tracey. He is still out there. This too was in the news and can be located online. It has been tough dealing with Tracey's loss but we are a family that prays together and we are healing together. I believe you & the others would have done more but she was in GOD'S hands and he knew what was best for her.

I wish i could explain, but I was on 95N and saw her car bounce off something I was told later was a semi sitting on the side of the road. Her car then went backwards across the traffic and into the path of the semi that hit her. I did see that and there was no where for him to go, she came so fast across the road. I was asked by an investigator if i saw anything in her car that could have caused it. I said no, there was no cell phone, nothing laying out to indicate she was doing anything but driving. I never was able to see the other semi, it was parked on the 95S bound shoulder. I know there was someone who was in front of her who stopped, but not sure who that was. The driver of the truck she hit said he had just pulled off and she hit him, i don't know if he was stopped or completely off the road when she hit him as i was too far away! Sorry!!

Jermey you might want to watch what you say and how you say them as they could truly affend others. My sister was the young lady in the accident and no she is not ok, she has passed due to her injuries, but she was a VERY caucious driver.

Tracey was my best friend. We traveled to Ireland together, she had been a bridesmaid in my wedding only 3 weeks prior to the accident. She was a very kind person, who would do anything for anyone. And NO, she was not a bad driver, nor could I ever believe she was the one at fault in the accident. When we were in Ireland, she didn't even drive our rental car once, because she was afraid of the unfamiliarness of the roads and opposite side of the car/road driving. She would have been the first to tell you to slow down, or not talk on the cell phone while driving. I still can't believe that she is no longer with us. It just breaks my heart because she had so much to live for and so many wonderful things to look forward too....her new house, earning her Masters degree, a wonderful new boyfriend, and finally having her car paid off!!! I will always wonder what really happened that day, and I know that she is probably the only one that could've answered that question for all of us. Her birthday is this coming Thursday, June 26th...she would have been 29. Please remember her.

She was not breathing nor had a pulse when we got on the scene. She was pinned in the car. When we got her out of the car her respirations and pulse restarted on heir own, probably was the movement as we did not have to do CPR. No, she was never conscious nor did she appear in any pain at anytime till she left on the ambulance. I spoke to her and told her to hold on, that help was on the way. I talked to her and told her I was praying for her! Her eyes were open, but no sign she understood.I am so sorry! I will continue to check in and will remember a special prayer for you on her birthday! To all of you out there who wasn't there please remember to pray as you go by accidents, you never know when it might be you or your family!!!
