aint it nice of our school board to put in a new ball diamond at the school, they barely have enough kids in most of the grades to carry on any kind of ball game, for instance the 5and 6 grades had just enough player to play volley ball just enough kids to play baseball now this aint it great just like sodding the baseball diamond .with a school that has just enough kids to keep it open one would think that monwy could be better spent on something a little bit more important but what the heck this is the GREAT METRO. OF RISCO MO. ho hum

How many kids do we need in order for it to be a worthwhile investment?

The sodding was done last yr. and was donated by someone , it didn't come from any taxpayers pocket. This is what they said last yr. when it was done. I am sure the upkeep is their baby .Maybe now you won't worry so much. The sod may have been done yr. before last, Iam not sure.

the upkeep probably isn't free, and I really didn't see the need for grass ballfield, I just new someone play for the sod, I know it has to be watered and mowed, I don't understand why the girls can't play on it, they are students and sounds like someone needs to push that issue of title 9 or whatever. They have equal or nothing..the girls are as important as the boys.

For everyone's information the sod on the ballfield was paid for by the Booster Club. The school or school board had nothing to do with it. The money was given to the coach by the Booster Club for that purpose. As for some not getting to play on the field...I have no idea.

I wonder if after the sod was put in maybe the field is a different size for softball or am I wrong. WHo cares who paid for what.? Its sports and if it gives something for the kids to do it keeps them off the streets and down gravel roads drinking and partying. The school has the tax money and I had rather see it go for sports rather than anything else. No one complains about T-ball and little league so why complain about this. Seems like you just want to have something to bitch about..

No I believe the girls have as much rights as the boys do. I was just wandering and asking if the girls ball field is smaller or the same size as the boys field. if it isn't thats the reason why they can't use it. IF its the same size then yes they need to take this to the school board and like it will make any difference with them unless you threaten them with a law suit, but you need to get all your ducks in a row and get your facts about title 9 or 11 which ever one it is and find out your daughters rights and run with it. I would if it were mine.

ok..the girls got a field because 1: they deserve it 2: they worked for it and raised sum of the money and went to get the fence themselves and 3: they couldnt keep playin on the baseball field...the boys have their own schedule of games and so do the girls and sum times the clash...not that this is any of ur business ur dont go to that school.

I don't think Misty is working back up there, she has a job in New Madrid. Stop trying to start something that is a dead issue.
