I would like to thank the Redlands Daily Facts for keeping us all posted on the day to day happenings at Pharaoh's seeing how there is nothing else to use as front page material.
I truly believe that 98% of Redlanders were clueless to what was going on at Pharaoh's nor did they care prior to the repeated headlines of the Daily Facts. Unless it's in there face it's not a problem, hence front page news.
I will agree with the statement that RAVES are inconsistent with the community's values,
but like I stated before I don't believe that 98% of Redlands even knew they were there.
If Pharaoh's is paying the city there taxes, paying for Police officers, etc. what's the problem?
We have a strip club, we have smoke shops, liquor stores, the UofR has had many concerts with headlining bands that advocate the use of drugs.
What else brings over 10,000 to our city.
It would be ignorant to try and say these people don't spend money. They have to be buying gas and food not to mention parking tickets and court fines.
40-50 arrests out 11,000 that's sounds good, really good. If the Redlands Police did a DUI/public intoxication sting on the down town bars on a holiday night, I truly believe they would not have a problem finding 40-50 to take to jail or ticket.
The raves at Pharaoh's are not the "RAVES" from the TV sit-coms or soap-operas.
As we have all read in the Facts there well staffed by private security and paid local Police.
I don't believe Pharaoh's has a sign that says "DO DRUGS HERE" if your kids are doing drugs then maybe look at your parenting, let's not be so quick to blame Pharaohs.
With 11,000 attending I'm gonna make a guess that 5% of them are from Redlands and a good 20% are from surrounding community's. Which means these kids want something to do and Pharaoh's is doing it for them at 40-60 bucks a head.
Not the community, Now that should be front page news, not this.
Let's make this easy for majority of the Facts readers rather then the dramatic accounts from these stick in the mud reporters.
Every time you see the word RAVE or RAVERS replace it with the BEATLES or ELVIS.
In example " Everyone was on drugs at the BEATLES concert or The girls were half dressed and having sex at the Elvis concert.
Ok now if you were around to witness the Beatles or Elvis you know none of the statements are true. There might be something to them but for the most part there are statements made by individuals that don't understand it.
That is what people do when they don't understand something they shun it to hide their own ignorance.

The public outcry is coming from the way in which these parties have been on-going, apparently for a number of years, and it has only recently become "public information" that these "all-night rave" parties have been happening at the Redlands Pharaoh's. Apparently the Redlands City Manager has a reason to keep these parties, which are not considered consistent with the character of our town, on the down-low. It took an incident of two young people disappearing, and then the media circus surrounding it, to shed some light on the matter, which has resulted in the growing public outrage. Now it has come out that City Manager Martinez has a conflict-of-interest with the rave parties promoter, Ryan Dillard, and can no longer conduct the City's business related to the continuation or discontinuation of these events. It appears as though Martinez may also have an off-the-books deal with the Pharaoh's operator, Aryana, that must only be based on a handshake, since the owner of the facility is objecting to the continuation of these events also. How is it that the Redlands City Manager and the RPD are essentially condoning the rave events occurring at the vacant amusement park, while the property owner and majority in the community object? IT'S ALL ABOUT THE DOLLAR BILL!
