Trust me... with all of the pot smokers in this area, a taco bell and or walmart would make a mint.

After reading your messages it is clear that you people have no life. Get out and DO something with your life. Travel around the world a little and see what life has to offer. Go on a cruise or something. I think the coal fumes are damaging your brains!
I just have to ask, so what is it you were doing reading this and responding, get out..DO something with YOUR life. You were doing the same exact thing as them. Don't judge if you are in a glass house...

I would like to know what other people think about a Walmart being built in the Carbondale area. Also what about a Mexican Food Restaurant. What about a roller skating rink next to Weiss and Dollar General where the kids could walk to that would affordable.
Most likely will NOT ever happen Stores, especially big chains have a rule as to having a certain number of their own stores within a certain distance of each other to protect their individual stores from losing revenue to their other stores. It's like competing against yourself essentially. Although they are all Wal-marts they are individual stores and each store deals with and has to maintain their own individual sales, customer numbers and such, if one store is close to another and one is getting more business then the other it could hurt the store getting less business and possibly cause it to be closed because they cannot maintain the numbers their regional managers or corporate sets for them. I don't know all the details about this but i worked in retail management for many years so i know a bit about it. But there's already 2 wal-marts close to Carbondale as it is. one in dickson city and one in honesdale. Putting one in Carbondale may just be to much and not an option depending on distance, the current store numbers and other factors. you can do your own research on this further if u wish but i don't think it will happen anytime in the near future because of this "rule".
