Well, I guess that the store managers job has been filled so I'll apply for the greeter job. How's this, "Welcome to Wal-Mart, what the hell do you want now"?

Its good to see jobs, but I know how this will work. 350 people and pay them dogchit, no benefits, treat them like they are less than human. Walmart does not care about there employees, you are just anther number in the paycheck books

You are probably sitting at home waiting for an employer to come up and offer you a job making $20.00 an hour, huh?

If they get treated bad they have the option of leaving. Thats 350 jobs that were not there before. I knew some low life would complain about the jobs.

Damn them! giving jobs to people who need them, paying taxes into the local governments, allowing people to shop where they wish, helping the local economy by putting money into circulation! How dare they! I am outraged ! It has to be a conspiracy! The rats!

Most walmart employees seem to love their jobs and thankful to have one.

Once I retire I believe being a Wally World greeter would be my fun job to stay busy. It would be a hoot messing with the shoppers.

I am not the biggest fan of Wal-Mart but I was in there last night when it was not crowded and it made for a much better shopping experience. I usually end up there when all the nasty ashevillians crawl out of the woodwork. Their food prices are much better then any Ingles or other grocer here in town so it's hard to stay away for that. I'd also like to say how nice my check out lady was. It was quite refreshing to some of the cashiers lines I've been through.

I am glad it has brought 350 jobs to our area. That in itself is a positive!

I hear all the jobs have already been filled at both Walmart and Lowes but at least it is giving someone a job. I hope neither one works anyone who is illegal but I am sure they will apply since Sonopress is using E-verify now and none of the illegal Mexicans can get a job there. Sonopress thought they couldn't do without the illegals but now they find there are plenty of hard working Americans willing to work.
