As someone who grew up in neighboring Chicago Heights, I can say an atomic bomb should be dropped on Ford Heights and wipe the landscape clean. Nothing good has EVER or WILL EVER come out of that town. Drive down Route 30 through Ford Heights at your own risk and pray that you make all the green lights. If you make it past the viaduct at Route 30 and Halsted Street, you're safe.

What about the white hookers that walk the streets there. That's a good thing right?

Chicago Heights is no better than our town (Look what's going on with your newly elected Mayor Lopez.) and furthermore there are many people in Ford Heights who have just as much as you do my friend. Please be advised that there are alternate routes that you may take instead of Rt, 30 such as Sauk Trail and Joe Orr Road with your ignorant ass!!!

A atomic bomb wouldn't be enough for that place, the roaches will still live and breed. Somebody should just build a 200' tall electric fence around the entire place, block off rt30 and fill it with human waste ie: landfill, atleast ford heights will have some use, yeah it would make a great landfill. I hope that somebody from ford heights is reading this and fully understands what a waste of space that town is. The rest of the civilized world dosen't need or want your kind. Take my advice, just kill yourself and do us all a favor! peace :)
Mr Orange,
I hope your family loves you, because it appears to me that you have so much hatred in your heart that you can't possibly love yourself. How can an individual have so much hatred in their heart about people that they don't even know? You appear to be very racist. I just hope the people in your community, or even the people in your house, for that matter- don't feel like you are a total waste of human flesh.

The only hope is that Cook County, Chicago Heights or Sauk Village incorporates it.

Wow! Most of you talk about Ford Heights as if it were something to exterminate and not a community of (mostly) decent law abiding people who, just like you work to take care of their families! Yes there is crime and poverty in FH but there is crime and poor people everywhere even sauk village and especially chicago heights. Name one community that is crime free and everybody is wealthy, that place does not exist in the real world.
Yes the local government is a joke and they need to get rid of them all. But we all know that education of the children is the key.

There is good and bad everywhere you go and if it hasn't gotton to you yet, IT WILL! Nobody is exempted. Those of you from Chicago you should really be ashame to talk with all that crime and stuff going on over there. If you want to blow up somewhere then I suggest you go overseas where they seem to enjoy that type of stuff which it seems like Mr. Orange does enjoy and what does (your kind) mean, We don't need your hatred. If there is a Heaven I'm sure you won't be there because if you can't get along with the people on EARTH then forget about you after life. Take that HATE OUT of you it is only doing HARM to your body.

Rocco I don't know anything about Harold's Chicken having a rotary money and food tray but Brown's Chicken had that and it is in Chicago Heights on Halsted. You know what IT is so bad all over the world someplaces worse than others we all don't have a right to talk about anything. It is just so sad Nobody wants to try and lift up anybody or anything nobody respect human life or anything anymore. IT IS JUST SAD!!! For Don and Mr. Orange just go to route 30 some other way because there are more ways to get around to other places now

As for those of you thinking of going to Atlantis Gentlemen's club in Ford Heights, forget it! The owners of Atlantis are just as connected to al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden as the Mayor of Ford Heights, as well as the 9/11 hijackers from Ford Heights, and will just as likely blow you right off the road for your wallet as the rest of the terror crooks of Ford Heights!

I've worked in Ford Heights..I put it in there with Roseland and the area around 67th and Ashland. Heres what I know. There is no one person job in these areas. Changing a light bulb is a 2 person job because of safety. In some areas you have to leave a person outside to watch the van. In those areas you just say fuck it. You both enter and leave the residence at the same time. Two guys to go to the van to get a screwdriver.
True story of mine from the heights.I've come outside and had brothers leaning on the van and asking me "whats inside the van playboy."...Looking over my shoulder when I open it.In that instance I called my company and somehow they got ahold of the state police who 20 minutes later pulled up and parked across the street while I finished up my work...which was paid for my the goverment.I believe that they lit a white person on fire and dragged him behind a car over in Ford Heights.

Sucks that you have to subject yourself to that type of danger in order in earn a paycheck. That jungle full of wild animals is probably comparable to that of the African Safari. Not to sure which I would pick if I had to spend the night in either.

And best leave before dark.

Wow, some crazy people here, I grew up in ford heights, it was fine when we were kids, but things went south as we got older. There is not much in the town, and yes a lot used to go on out there. But God will change things around and make it a town for him. Why would you be scared to drive through on route 30? It only takes a couple minutes from cottage grove to Ellis, grow up ! It is not the best of towns, but it can still change, and I pray that it does. I am there every week ,my church is there, and I love it.
Most people will not bother you. There are crazies everywhere.
