So I was by the Coat Factory this morning. didn't see any evidence of any burnout orgies, as in past years. Did the cops keep the lid on the Jethro's or have they switched locations?

A road block needs set up down by the fairgrounds, seems to me these boys have more money to pay for a ticket, then the people crossing the bridge Fri. night.

Its a shame that the cops in this town need to give a fake ticket to a teenager that didn't even do anything and especially in the area of 25th and Margaret on a Friday night. Said teenager driving into town from Riley going 10 miles an hour gets pulled over by Terre Hautes finest. Cop says teenager threw something out the window and it hit his windshield. Teenager denied allegations. Cop told teenager that if he agreed to say he threw a piece of gum out the window and it put a dent in his windshield that he and the 2 other boys would not be taken to juvenile center. So teen agreed. And mom got the ticket. This is a freaking corrupt town, since when do you teach a child to lie? It's not enough Shied is bringing all this money into our economy but the cops are now teaching our own children to lie or punish them for not........I hate this town and the corrupt ways it operates. God bless my father who passed away 6 years ago. He always told me how corrupt this place is. I moved back after being gone for 20 years, you better believe I will be moving out next year. I will not stand by and see my grandchild taught to lie or else he will be punished....So long Terre haute........

Not that I doubt there are bad cops but you're talking teenagers here. You think they don't already know how to lie? If they're lips are moving they're lying.

You think that story is true? Let me come and redo your roof. It'll only cost you $3.2 million. If not, then I have some swampland in Florida. Only $10 million an acre.

Any chance the story you were told was the lie?

Why in the hell do they allow them to drink in public at Burlington parking lot?? Then they watch them leave & pull them over...hmmmm...could it be a fact that they do that because a DUI cost more than a drinking in public ticket...more $$ for the county ass-holes!! Most of them are not even old enough to drink & you allow it & ruin them by deliberately letting them get all drunked up & then decide to give them a DUI...YOU COPS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!

If you would have listened to the scanner they were also arresting under aged drinkers, open containers, and public intox. It was a police dirty free for all. Diesel douches from all over the US are sitting in our county or a neighboring county jail this morning...

The underage drinkers kept the police force very busy last night. If these kids think they can come into my town to partake in illegal activities, they've got another thing coming !!!
The scanner was lit up all night! An 18 yr old so drunk they had to call an ambulance in. A wreck on one of the parking lots. Arrests for expired drivers license due to prior histories of HTV and DUI's..
If these kids were here for the diesel fest, they should have been in the fairgrounds area ; not on 3rd street.
These type of instances is what ruins it for everyone.
I'm all for having fun., but by the sound of it the immaturity of these kids really shines thru!!!!!

Nope. People who invade private property uninvited, get drunk, cause a disturbance and then climb behind the wheel should be ashamed. That's some premeditated and deliberate law breaking goin on right there.
It's also costly to taxpayers. Police racked up some overtime Saturday night trying to keep order at Burlington and the fairgrounds and finally at 2:00 am had to run the diesel people off the Burlington lot because they were getting out of hand. Excise was called in and was DTF was contacted as well. Police and dispatch were swamped with calls on top of the normal Saturday night shenanigans.

First of all, how the hell are the cops suppose to know how old someone is just by siting in the shadows and ploting which "underage drinker" to pull over? And second, maybe just maybe the cops let them drink in public as long as they are behaving and acting like the have some sence. Those that were pulled over we're probly acting like idiots because they can't handle their alcohol. At said time, police find out they are underage and cart their dumbasses off to the pokey.

Yes he was, he lost his license for being a habitual offender so I let him drive our John Deere lawn tractor.

That sure is funny..then why was I there sitting outside the 2 feet from the liquor store with two cops guarding the doors but yet they were buying it & handing it off to 17 & 18 yr.olds! I saw how the whole thing went down. The same Cops that watched them consume alcohol underage would stop them when they pulled out of Burlington..I SAW IT & HEARD ALL THIS WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!! NOW THAT IS CORRUPT!!!
