How can you get a lesser sentence when you admit to doing something? This judicial system doesn't make sense. So, if I kill someone, as long as I admit it I won't get the death penalty? Shouldn't you get longer time for admitting it? Doesn't make sense to me, no wonder we have so many criminals on the streets.

He's in the system. Now that he's an admitted gang member, next time he commits a crime (and he will) he'll get gang enhancements and a lot longer sentence. The DA probably didn't have enough evidence to convict him of attempted murder since the victim said it wasn't him that stabbed him.

They wanted to avoid a trial. The judicial system works when you have 12 jurors that are relatively principled and socially responsible. Those days are looonnnngggg gone. Have you seen you average jury lately? It consist of one or two blue bloods that want to rid the streets of these punk @$$es, 5 that are related to the defendant, and 5 more that are sympathetic to him because they were "little mijos" once.

He probably made a plea deal with the DA so it won't go to trail. If it went to trail and was convicted he would get a much harsher sentence. It happens all the time.

If he's 18 and committing these types of crimes then he isn't going to change; its in his blood and there to stay.

Fry him and the rest of them, they don't hold a place in society. They don't contribute to anything good and alot of them are illegals.

Letís see, about 30 percent of prisoners in Federal, State, and local jails are ILLEGAL Aliens. I guess thatís why NONAME jumped to the conclusion the person who committed the crime was a Hispanic and most likely was ILLEGAL. With that being said, why would you assume noname was white. Was your racist response any different than nonames. Should I assume by your name (GEMO) that you are not white and most likely live in Pomona not Chino Hills. See how that works. You are both wrong.

I am hispanic. Having many white friends with good professions I can say I have witness incidents when these friends get pull over by police man for a dui, or go to a home with a complain of loud partying, but all they get is a warning. The DUI incedent even go a ride home from the cop instead of being taken to jail (which was better since my friend didn't pay the crime. Now i'm not racist but not stupid either. This might explain the ratio of prisoners in jail. We are not all treated equal.

where's the part of the story that the poor kid was going to attend USC Medical school, and that he had dreams of being the staring QB and he volunteers his spare time feeding homeless people and baby seals. oh thats right, he's another FONTUCKY gangster that got his knife at birth along with his LK13 tattoo.....at the story still has a happy ending. the end

You know he stabbed that idiot. The idiot that got stabbed is just covering up, because he is no snitch. That's the way those people roll. Well, as long as they kill each other, that's ok. It just sucks when civilians get caught in the crossfire or get jacked from one of these idiots. And the taxpayers suffer for it. Gangs and the gang-culture suck.

Now this is what happens when you deal with Mexicans. They have no sense of diplomacy (whats dat cholo brother) Dont you just wish you could put them on a big rocket and shoot those basterds into space? Hey! then all of their grease will fall off of them and rain down and the worlds oil shortage will be solved.
