They are only 'military style' if they are fully automatic. Have you checked the make and model for this feature?

They're not military style, they're regular AR's -- typical semi-auto rifles, just with the black "military" look to them.

Even still they didn't have to buy AR's -- a regular police shotgun would have been more than enough with some slugs.....

AR's for those not in the 'know' are toys for rednecks & gun-types. They're really expensive guns that aren't as effective as one would think.

This was just an excuse for the cops to justify buying cool cop toys to play around with. They have these & the tazer toys.

The law enforcement "contracting" industry is like the military contracting industry -- a parasitic nepotist industry full of waste & pork that will collapse when they finally juice the last dime out of the taxpayer that they can...
