Major pot seizure

A bank employee stumbled upon a foreclosed house used to grow marijuana, leading to the seizure of an estimated $4.5 million in drugs in two houses and an arrest Saturday.

This is a sign of the times. People are losing there homes and desperate times make people do stupid things. It is wrong to sell drugs I agree. some of these people are losing there homes. It is wrong to use drugs I agree! But with the economy so bad people are desperate. I've been to prison and there are drug dealers there too. Some drug dealers are nice though people do what they have to do to survive. Prison is not the place to sell or use drugs either. However listen to this I went to prison for Grand theft Dog. So what do they do put me in substance abuse program. SAP because i need behavior modification! Hmmmm....I never stole anyones dog. I have 3 cats! I own the most beautiful cat in the world....Shadow and Tangi. I even paroled with a cat from CIW. So what! I"m sure that's what you're thinking... Fontana Police stole my dream job from me. I worked at the Pet Regency HOtel in Fontana. The police don't have the right to steal anyones dreams!!! or Dream job. Now I cant find another job working with animals Thank you very much Lietenat Aulis!!! I tried to talk to Aulis last weekend and he refused. Hmmm What's up with that. Is he feeling guilty for sending an innocent woman to prison!!! He should. I lost an Uncle and I got to spend 20 days with my Father after I got out. I know life gos on while you're in prison. But come on Aulis you robbed me of 2 years with my Father. Nobdy can replace my Dad. My Dad was a gentleman, a veteran, a truck driver, a hard working man. I think you're a woman hater!!! He worked for Vons. You sent your good squad to his house looking for a dog. Well he has two Golden Retrievers! yeah so what. Imagine that a hardworking man with 2 dogs. Hey maybe they where narcotics dogs!!!! No they weren't they where just Goldens worth there weight in Gold! Now my cat Shadow is priceless, so what do you think of that! Fontana Police need to get a grip on them selves especially Aulis

Well, these folks are just plain idiots. How in the world can you have all that $ in product and not pay your mortgage? They also stole $100,000 worth of electricity which they obviously could have afforded to pay. If we were talking about <100 plants then maybe we can say these people were struggling in the current economy, trying to make enough for the mortgage, etc. However, with thousands of plants, these people made more than enough $ to buy their houses outright from the bank and pay for all the electricity they could ever want and still have millions left. Hopefully, these people serve prison time for stealing electricity as this was the most serious crime involved here. That 100k theft will be reflected in all the other SCE customers bills through higher rates, etc. These people have harmed the greater community due to their theft, and they should be punished significantly for that harm.

The police and DA's always inflate the value of the product. You can't pay a mortgage directly with MJ, you have to convert it to cash first, then launder it. Plus, the asset seizure laws say you should grow or manufacture drugs on other people's property, or preferably, government property.
